GINGERBRED can prove himself well handicapped on the back of a notable yard change. Last year's winner Puddlesinthepark looks the main threat.

Timeform Comments

Jaccours (FR)
Maiden hurdle winner here in January but ran poorly switched to fences next 2 starts despite coming in for strong support. Subsequently sold from Olly Murphy for £16,000 in May.
Yes Day (IRE)
Proving more consistent than usual and took advantage of a career-low mark in 4-runner event at Fontwell 3 weeks ago. Not an obvious one to follow up but yard remains in good form.
Puddlesinthepark (IRE)
Three-time winner (2 for this rider) early last season, including this race off 3 lb higher. In better form than form figures suggest in the spring and likely player on return.
Karuma Grey (GER)
Course winner but he's an unreliable type who went with little fluency on his last 2 starts in the spring. Has since had a breathing operation but yard remains quiet.
Yes And Yes (IRE)
Back-to-back wins in the spring and surely wasn't right returning from 3 months off at Stratford in August. Needs another career best to defy this mark, however.
Gingerbred
Sole chase win came here (3m) off 10 lb higher in early 2024. Lost his way last season but reappears potentially well handicapped on the back of a significant stable switch.
Est Illic (IRE)
Temperamental veteran with little recent form. 11 lb out of the handicap.
