Timeform View

Cases can be made for several, but at the likely prices it could be worth chancing FAST TRACK HARRY, who is well treated on early-season all-weather form and Clive Cox's 4-y-o is ideally drawn to attack. Veil of Clouds is a progressive filly and arriving on a hat-trick, she warrants considerable respect. Augustus Gloop has got his career firmly back on track lately and he can edge out Art Lover for third.

Timeform Comments

Berkshire Whisper (IRE)
Completed a hat-trick at Newcastle last spring and produced one of his better efforts on turf when fourth at Leicester in April. Well beaten both outings since returning from a break (latest in first-time cheekpieces) and the handicapper has given him a squeak.
Fast Track Harry
Showed improved form when scoring at Lingfield/Newcastle first 2 starts this year. Back at that level when second behind an improving 3-y-o at Ascot in July and not disgraced the last twice. Ideally drawn here and looks well treated on early-season all-weather form.
Knebworth
Ended 2025 out of form but proved better than ever to start this year, scoring at Chelmsford in January and Wolverhampton in March. Little impact after a break at Newcastle in June and probably needed the run following another 12 weeks off at Doncaster last month.
Bolo Neighs (IRE)
In good form at Ascot this season, landing a handicap over this trip in first-time cheekpieces in May and solid third (again over 6f) in July. Well held from a poor draw back there last time and first-time blinkers are now reached for. Back on his last winning mark.
Dapper Valley (IRE)
Rejoined James Owen after a spell in the UAE and exploited a reduced mark with a pair of quick-fire victories at Leicester and Salisbury in April/May. After 4 months off, ran poorly for his new yard at York and fared no better in reapplied cheekpieces/tongue strap at Yarmouth since.
Aigeas (FR)
Got back on the up when impressive winner of C&D handicap in July and quickly dispelled a lesser effort in a reapplied tongue tie when winning 7-runner handicap at this course (7f) 6 weeks ago. Needs to show he can string good runs together.
Space Bear (IRE)
Formerly a free-goer who has reacted really well to forcing tactics of late to land handicaps at Windsor and Yarmouth recently. Couldn't dominate upped in grade but still acquitted herself well when fourth of 16 in listed race at the Curragh (6f, soft) 10 days ago. Respected back in a handicap.
Veil Of Clouds
Much improved when off the mark by a wide margin in a 6f handicap at Lingfield in August and made light of an 8 lb rise to follow up in 11-runner handicap over C&D just under 6 weeks ago. Up another 7 lb but fancied to take this step up in class in her stride.
Art Lover (IRE)
Ffos Las maiden winner who has shaped well first 4 starts so far this season. Latest effort at Haydock in first-time cheekpieces easy to ignore given the different conditions and his draw/track position and present mark certainly looks exploitable. First-time blinkers now reached for.
Mesaafi
Resumed winning ways over 5f at Windsor in June and doubled his tally for the campaign in 9-runner event over C&D 9 days ago, capitalising on the drop in grade in a change of headgear. Carries a 5-lb penalty and a place is probably the best he can hope for.
Bintaryana
Successful 3 times this season, wasting no time bouncing back from a lesser run at Glorious Goodwood when landing 11-runner handicap over C&D in August. Ran creditably from 4 lb higher when third of 6 to Augustus Gloop over C&D 5 weeks ago and by no means out of things.
Augustus Gloop
Form has been mixed in handicaps this year but did well under the circumstances when length fourth of 11 to Bintaryana in August. Built on that to double his tally over C&D early last month and every chance he will be in the mix again now his career is firmly back on track.
