Timeform View

KINDACAN disappointed when down the field at Dundalk 4 weeks ago, yet her debut third over C&D was a promising effort and she's afforded another chance back on turf. Champion Basma stepped up plenty on his first start when second himself in a C&D event latest and is a danger, as is Tavernise.

Timeform Comments

Captain James Cook
Hasn't lived up to his pedigree/price tag and despite a further drop in weights, could only run to a similar level as previously when third in a Cork nursery (6f, soft) 16 days ago, looking to find the trip stretching him in the conditions. Looks vulnerable back in a maiden.
Champion Basma (IRE)
Hinted at ability first time up when seventh of 11 in maiden at Naas (7f) last month and he duly built on that despite being unsuited by the drop in trip when second in a C&D maiden 19 days ago, noted keeping on well. Return to 7f will suit ideally but claims nevertheless on the back of that.
Jabreen (IRE)
Foaled April 4. Saxon Warrior colt. Half-brother to several winners, including useful winner in US up to 1m Yours Sincerely and 6f winner Dark Regard. Dam, French/German 6f/6.5f winner (including at 2 yrs), out of winning close relative of smart sprinter Tickled Pink.
Aztec Chief (IRE)
Foaled April 8. €30,000 yearling, Calyx colt. Half-brother to 1m winner Top Class Angel and 7f winner Germanese. Billy Lee booked for debut but tricky to fancy.
Alfredo Delgado (IRE)
Inns of Court gelding. Half-brother to several winners, including useful winner up to 7f Dig Two (2-y-o 5f/6f winner). Merely hinted at ability when eighth of 11 in a Listowel maiden (1m) 24 days ago. Likely to be brought along with handicaps in mind.
Arizona Storm (IRE)
Arizona gelding. Dam unraced out of maiden half-sister to useful 2-y-o 6f winner (stayed 1m) Redact. 300/1, offered little first time up in a Naas maiden (6f) 4 weeks ago.
Bajan Bambi (IRE)
Foaled January 31. Kodi Bear filly. Half-sister to 10.7f-1¾m winner Fairytale Princess and useful winner up to 1m Raknah. Dam unraced sister to smart 1½m/12.5f winner Stellar Mass. 1 of 2 newcomers for leading yard yet to taste success with a 2-y-o debutant this season.
Kindacan (IRE)
Kodi Bear filly who made a promising start when third in a big-field C&D maiden in August. That form took a couple of knocks, though, and she was well below that level in a Dundalk maiden (6f) since. Still, far too soon to be writing her off and this won't take much winning.
Tavernise (IRE)
Earthlight filly who shaped well at long odds when fifth in a C&D maiden (similar profile to Kindacan who placed third), a big move into contention catching up with her close home. Disappointed with that in mind when ninth in a Dundalk maiden (6f) but likely worth another chance back on turf.
Jade Fox (IRE)
Soldier's Call filly. Dam unraced half-sister to useful French 6f winner Mediterannio. Shaped as if better for the run when twelfth of 15 in a Naas maiden (7f) 4 weeks ago and she's probably one for the longer term.
Maxims Of Equity (IRE)
Friendless in betting equipped with a tongue strap for debut (retained) and she went with little encouragement when seventeenth of 21 in a Naas maiden (6f) 4 weeks ago.
Rockfleet (IRE)
Foaled February 13. Invincible Army filly. Dam, 10.7f winner, half-sister to useful French winner up to 10.5f Luminate. Betting should guide with her yard also responsible for Bajan Bambi.
