Timeform View

ALMAZANN has found only one too good on 4 of his 5 starts but bumped into a useful prospect at this track last time and can finally go one better back up in trip. Nemorino is progressive and could prove the main danger if taking another step forward, while Jessica Harrington's Pierre Grosse and Possum are respected.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Almazann traded at a low of 3.70 and Betfair SP of 3.30 when losing last time, a race in which it raced in mid-field and travelled strongly early on.

Timeform Comments

Starting Fifteen
Useful winning hurdler at 2m, ran well in a listed handicap last month. Must be of interest making Flat debut in this company.
Isthatrightkatie (IRE)
Fared better than previously when 9¼ lengths fourth of 11 to Teoest in maiden at Roscommon 3 days ago. Has plenty to find to feature here, however.
Almazann (IRE)
Fairly useful maiden who has been runner-up on 4 of last 5 starts, beaten 3½ lengths by Come What May in 1¼m event at this course on latest. Cheekpieces worn that day are now removed. Another bold bid likely.
Azure Sioux (IRE)
Elzaam gelding. Dam, placed at 1m-9.5f, out of useful 6f winner Sioux Rising. Yard not known for winning debutants.
Boy Racer
Tongue tied and possibly needed the run on debut last month at Listowel.
Bunglasha Boy (IRE)
Estidhkaar gelding. Showed something when 19½ lengths eighth of 11 to The Austrian in maiden in September. That form is working out well but he's probably one for later on.
Coexist (IRE)
Showed much more than on debut (shaped as if amiss at Dundalk) when 11½ lengths third of 17 to Dreamkeeper in maiden over this trip at Fairyhouse 125 days ago. Looks one for handicaps.
Conrad (IRE)
Gleneagles gelding. Some encouragement when 13½ lengths seventh of 18 to Come What May in maiden at Curragh on debut.
Copper Dog (IRE)
Frankel gelding. Well beaten in 1¼m maiden here on debut. Now wears first-time blinkers/tongue strap.
Daily Wonder (IRE)
Well held both starts in maidens.
Method Or Manner (IRE)
€12,000 half-brother to French winner up to 9.4f Keanu (2-y-o 6f/7f winner, by Showcasing). Dam unraced half-sister to smart 9.4f-1½m winner in Australia Arab Dawn.
Nemorino (IRE)
Better effort in maidens when 5 lengths third of 11 to The Austrian at Listowel last time. The first and second that day have both won since and he looks open to further improvement.
Pierre Grosse
Fairly useful and consistent maiden. Runner-up 4 times this year, including when beaten 1¼ lengths by improving stablemate The Austrian in 5-runner handicap at Thurles last time. One of 2 appealing contenders for the yard.
Almost Okay (IRE)
Showed more than first time up fitted with a tongue tie when 11¼ lengths fourth of 5 to White Sand Beach in maiden at Bellewstown last time.
Cosmetic (IRE)
Produced her best effort when second in a Fairyhouse maiden at the beginning of July. Has failed to back that up in 2 outings since.
Possum (IRE)
Stepped up on her previous efforts fitted with cheekpieces when 4 lengths fifth of 8 to Count Bezukhov in extended 1¾m handicap at Listowel last time. Big player on that performance returned to maiden company, though back down in trip here and tendency to start slowly is a growing concern.
