The vote goes to expensive point recruit FEROCIMO, who appeals as the type to make a winning start under Rules. Nightflyer's Uttoxeter win is working out well, but he'll need to concede 7 lb to the selection, while Living In Luxury completes the shortlist for another in-form stable.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Moi Mon Vieux traded at 10% or less of Betfair SP and 50% or less of Betfair SP on 2 of its last 3 starts: Hawa Jumeirah traded at 25% or less of Betfair SP and 50% or less of Betfair SP 4 times on 5 of its last 5 starts.

Timeform Comments

Nightflyer (GER)
Fair bumper winner who has improved with each start over hurdles. Made it third time lucky in a maiden at Uttoxeter (2½m) last month, the placed horses both winning next time. Has experience/fitness on his side, too, and could make a bold bid to defy a penalty.
Hawa Jumeirah
Modest middle-distance winner on Flat. Form has regressed since finishing third in back-to-back handicaps at Newton Abbot in July, latterly beaten 25½ lengths here (2¼m). Has plenty on his plate back in a maiden.
Unknown Stranger (IRE)
€35,000 3-y-o, Maxios gelding. Dam unraced half-sister to useful hurdler/chaser (stayed 23f) Charlie Stout. Some substance to the form of his consecutive fourth-place finishes in points. Betting likely to reveal if he's a longer-term project over hurdles for new yard.
Crushalion (IRE)
€26,000 3-y-o, Maxios gelding. Dam fairly useful 2m-2½m hurdle/chase winner (stayed 23f). Runner-up on second of 2 Irish point starts in May. Probably a longer-term project for capable yard, unless the market suggests otherwise.
Ferocimo (IRE)
€48,000 3-y-o, £115,000 4-y-o, Order of St George gelding. Half-brother to a point winner. Dam unraced half-sister to top-class chaser (2m/17f winner) Ferny Hollow. Has had a breathing operation since winning his sole outing in Irish points in March. Very interesting recruit for bang-in-form yard.
Living In Luxury (IRE)
£70,000 4-y-o, Mahler gelding. Half-brother to useful hurdler/chaser Palmers Hill. Dam unraced half-sister to fair hurdler Lou's Coole Girl (19f winner). Successful sole outing in Irish points (Mar 22). Interesting Rules debutant, though did go for £45,000 less than Ferocimo at the same Goffs sale.
Moi Mon Vieux (FR)
Fair form when runner-up twice from 3 starts in French bumpers. Well below that level in a couple of starts over hurdles, for all he showed a bit more when well-held fourth at Worcester (2½m, soft) latest.
