Fourth in a Grade 2 Aintree bumper that is working out well, EMERALD QUEST should be capable of making a winning start over hurdles. Dan Skelton's Katios Queen stands out as the danger.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Emerald Quest traded at a low of 38.00 and Betfair SP of 55.63 when losing last time, a race in which it raced prominently.

Timeform Comments

Emerald Quest (IRE)
Smooth winner of a Huntingdon bumper on second career start in January. Progressed again when 5¼-length fourth in Grade 2 bumper at the Aintree Grand National meeting. That race has typically produced early-season hurdle winners, and she's likely to be another with Harry Cobden taking over.
Katios Queen (IRE)
From a good jumping family that top yard know well. Ignored in the betting (18/1) when making a winning debut here last October. Form of her subsequent third-place finishes in listed bumpers has taken a few knocks, however, she still merits plenty of respect now sent hurdling.
Morissette (IRE)
Placed in Irish points prior to a creditable 6¾-length fourth on hurdling debut/belated return to Rules at Worcester (2m) last month. Well beaten at Chepstow 6 days ago, though, and quick turnaround firmly suggests she's a handicap project.
Sky Blue Ribbon (IRE)
Point runner-up who found less than looked likely when beaten 11¾ lengths on debut in a course bumper in late-May (2¼m). Went without a hood when offering little on hurdles bow/return at Perth. Clear second string to stablemate Emerald Quest.
Georgie's Lady (IRE)
No impact in a couple of bumper/maiden hurdle starts. Type who'll be better off in handicaps.
Roxy Russet
Related to some above-average jumpers on her dam's side. Fair effort to chase home a fairly useful one at Hereford on third bumper start. Well behind Emerald Quest in Aintree Grade 2 subsequently, though, and hard to be confident she can reverse that form over hurdles.
