None of these can be ruled out but I WISH YOU can race off the same mark as when a very good Ayr third in the spring and gets the vote with his yard going well of late. Major Fortune also ended last term in fine form and rates a big threat though, while Chasingouttheblues and Golden Point are others to consider in this competitive handicap.

Timeform Comments

Thunder Rock (IRE)
Very smart chaser at his peak. Seemingly not the same force these days but landed a pair of small-field hunter chasers (around 2½m) at Wincanton and Kempton last winter. Has won when fresh so not out of things on his seasonal return.
Major Fortune (IRE)
Enjoyed a good 2025/26 over fences, signing off with cosy success in 11-runner handicap at Haydock (3¼m, good) in April. Up 5 lb but can't be discounted for yard among the winners.
Chasingouttheblues (IRE)
Made excellent strides in his first season over fences, gaining a third victory in 3m handicap at Carlisle in March. Ended the campaign with an excellent fifth of 16 in Scottish Grand National at Ayr. Respected for all yard have been very quiet so far in 2026/27.
Dubai Days (IRE)
Veteran chaser but gained a seventh success over fences at Ayr (2½m) in February. Not disgraced (around 2½m) at Haydock and back at Ayr subsequently but likely to prove vulnerable to younger legs on his return.
I Wish You (FR)
Winning hurdler who quickly bettered his form over fences, landing novice handicap at Wetherby (3m) in February. Signed off with a very good third of 11 in handicap at Ayr (3m, heavy) in April (strong form). Big shout off an unchanged mark for yard back among the winners.
Golden Point (FR)
Impressed with her jumping switched to fences when landing a pair of Kelso handicaps late in 2025. Pulled up at Uttoxeter (3m, soft) in March but stable going well and no surprise to see her bounce back on her return.
