It might pay to side with one of the chasing debutants here, with KADO SACREE, a dual winner over hurdles in the spring, making most appeal. Follow Charlie has been in good form over the smaller obstacles and can pose the biggest threat over Rock Dj.

Timeform Comments

Cossack Chach (IRE)
Fairly useful hurdler/chaser for Joseph O'Brien who was pulled up on his belated return/sole start for Jimmy Moffatt last autumn. Off 7 months/had breathing operation prior to his yard debut third at Hexham (2m) in June but the way he shaped then suggests he may not build on that run.
Kado Sacree (FR)
Promising type who produced a career best when winning 4-runner event on handicap hurdle debut at Carlisle (19f) in April before improving further with the application of a tongue strap to follow up here (2½m) a month later. Very interesting chase debutant.
Netywell (FR)
Without a win since recording a hat-trick in 2023/24 and didn't really impress with his finishing effort despite being eased in grade when third of 5 in handicap chase (5/4) at Ayr (2m, heavy) in March. Still potentially well treated on old form after a 7-month break.
Bois Guillbert (FR)
Lost his way over fences last season and ran poorly reverted to hurdling on his last 2 starts in 2025/26. Cheekpieces back on but has plenty to prove.
Ned Tanner (IRE)
Twice a winner in 2024/25 but lost something in consistency last season, albeit not entirely disgraced when third of 6 in handicap chase at this course (3m, soft) when last seen in May. Now 9 lb below last winning mark.
Follow Charlie (IRE)
Dual winner over hurdles here in the summer and has remained in good form from this higher mark, most recently when fifth of 10 in handicap hurdle (9/2) at this course (2m, good to soft) 22 days ago. Respected making chase debut back up in trip.
Berkenshtaaap (IRE)
Winning Irish pointer who got off the mark over hurdles in a 10-runner handicap hurdle at this course (2½m, good, 3/1) in April, seeing his race out better than had previously been the case. Jockey bookings suggest he's the yard's second string on chase debut.
Rock Dj (IRE)
Lightly-raced maiden signed off last season with a good second of 10 in handicap hurdle at Hexham (2½m, good to soft). Made the frame on 2 of his 3 starts in Irish points and he should have a future in this sphere, for all he's likelier to prove more effective at further.
Garde Des Champs (IRE)
Merely closed up late when runner-up over 2m here in the summer but was tailed off a long way out at Kelso 4 weeks ago. Looks up against it again.
