Timeform View

Just the 4 runners but some top stables are represented. VELVET OUTLAW held every chance when falling at the last on his sole outing in Irish points and, having since joined a yard with an excellent record in this sphere, is of major interest. A positive market move for Still Game or Saint De Gemix would need taking seriously, however.

Timeform Comments

Cockle Bay Wharf (IRE)
Made some appeal on paper but offered little in a C&D bumper on debut in April.
Saint De Gemix (FR)
€23,000 3-y-o, €170,000 4-y-o, Gemix gelding. Half-brother to 21f chase winner Saint de Loire. Dam 17.5f-18.5f chase winner. Runner-up on second of 2 starts in Irish points in May and has to be taken seriously ahead of his Rules debut.
Still Game (IRE)
€45,000 3-y-o, Crystal Ocean gelding. Dam unraced sister to useful hurdler/smart chaser (stayed 21f) Ornua. Interesting newcomer for top stable.
Velvet Outlaw (IRE)
Poet's Word gelding. Dam unraced half-sister to fair hurdler/chaser (stayed 29f) Guts For Garters out of fair 2m-2½m hurdle winner Asklynn. Every chance when fell sole outing in Irish points (Apr 19). Subsequently bought for £145,000 and of obvious interest.
