SAFE DESTINATION was below form on his final 2 starts last season, but he returns with his yard going well so is worth another chance from only 2 lb above his last winning mark. Camarrate isn't taken lightly, though, following his encouraging chasing debut at this course, with last year's winner of this race Fern Hill also in the mix.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Fern Hill traded at 10% or less of Betfair SP, 25% or less of Betfair SP and 50% or less of Betfair SP on 3 of its last 5 starts: Emailandy traded at 10% or less of Betfair SP and 50% or less of Betfair SP on 2 of its last 5 starts.

Timeform Comments

Fern Hill (IRE)
Not straightforward but landed this race last year, before following up at Huntingdon. Bounced back from a couple of lesser efforts with creditable displays at Chepstow and Southwell when last seen in the spring and he's capable of going well back here.
Back It Up (IRE)
Multiple point winner who shaped like a stayer in 3 starts over hurdles, keeping on again for fourth in 5-runner novice at Southwell (2½m) 15 days ago. Interesting as he goes up in distance for handicap/chase debut.
Post Chaise (IRE)
Fair handicap chaser at his best, winning twice back in 2024/25. Missed 18 months following that season, finishing well held on his return at Bangor 6 weeks ago. This run should reveal more with tongue strap now added.
Emailandy (IRE)
One-time useful handicap hurdler for Paul Nicholls but little form since 2023/24, pulled up in 6 of his last 7 races including on seasonal/stable debut in handicap chase at Fontwell (19f) 13 days ago. Has enough to prove at present.
Safe Destination
Better than ever when landing a 3¼m Chepstow handicap a year ago. Ended the campaign with a couple of poor runs, but no surprise to see him bounce back after 7 months off (has run well fresh in the past) with yard in fine form.
Mahler Moon (IRE)
Enjoyed a good spell during the spring, bagging small-field handicaps at Huntingdon in March and Wincanton in April. However, found things tougher when well held in 7-runner contest over this C&D in May and off nearly 5 months since.
Camarrate (IRE)
Gained a first success in handicap hurdles when scoring at Newcastle (2½m) in April. Pulled up next time, but sent chasing after 4 months off he got back on track when second of 8 in handicap at this course in September. Respected up in trip.
Slaney Opera (IRE)
Doubled his tally at Sedgefield (3¼m) in January for Ruth Jefferson. Without a win since, joining Nick Scholfield in the spring, but ran well when third of 14 over this C&D in July. Task is now to build on latest effort starting off for new yard.
