Timeform View

HOLEHEARTEDLY was brought along steadily by Dan Skelton last season and could be primed to make winning start in handicaps. Uhtred Ragnarson has been in good form over the summer and is feared most with Harry Cobden taking over.

Gaelic Glow traded at 25% or less of Betfair SP and 50% or less of Betfair SP on 2 of its last 5 starts: Uhtred Ragnarson has traded at 50% or less of Betfair SP twice on its last 5 starts.

Timeform Comments

Zenato (IRE)
Needed his reappearance this time last year (took keen hold) prior to landing a Stratford/Sedgefield double under this rider. Went off too hard on softer ground than previously on hat-trick bid and did finish his season on a high when going close on Flat at Wolverhampton in February.
Ade Boy (IRE)
Decisive winner of a Navan bumper on debut. Improved from hurdle/stable debut when third in fair maiden at Huntingdon (2m) in March. Tongue strap added/step back in right direction when distant second at Worcester (2½m, soft) on return and addition of first-time cheekpieces should benefit.
Uhtred Ragnarson (IRE)
Won 2m Warwick handicap (now 5 lb higher) this time last year. Has returned in good heart, making up plenty of ground on the winner (despite hanging left) when ¾-length second of 6 at Bangor (17f) latest. Addition of cheekpieces looks a positive and fancied to go well under Harry Cobden.
Cotton Socks
Placed in bumpers at Huntingdon/Wetherby last winter. Capitalised on below-par effort from odds-on jolly (who won subsequently) when making it second time lucky over hurdles in juvenile event at Fakenham in April. Didn't look entirely straightforward but remains unexposed on handicap bow/return.
Nobotheratall (IRE)
Fair bumper winner who made a bright start in novice hurdles in the North this summer. Hasn't offered much under usual front-running tactics in either handicap start since. Only considered if market suggests that capable yard has him back on song.
Gaelic Glow
Some promise in a couple of bumpers for Tom Weston. Brought along with handicaps in mind over hurdles but didn't make an immediate impact, beaten 10½ lengths (took strong hold) at Carlisle (19f) in March. Only dropped 1 lb for that and market likely to guide on return in first-time tongue strap.
Bryson (IRE)
Showed promise without looking the easiest of conveyances (has bled) in Downpatrick handicaps this summer. Step back in direction when beaten 11¼ lengths on first start for Ado McGuinness yard at Killarney latest. Jockey booking catches the eye on first British start (races off 3 lb higher).
Independent Lady (GER)
Lightly-raced 5-y-o. Found plenty when improving to get off the mark on handicap bow at Hereford (2½m) in March. Clearly didn't give her running (returned with leg wound) when turned over there the following month. Likely worth another chance given her profile/connections.
Holeheartedly (IRE)
Flat-bred son of Sea Moon (half-brother to useful one in that sphere). Some promise on his sole bumper outing prior to being campaigned with handicaps in mind over hurdles (well held at long odds) last season. In top hands and fancied to make an immediate impact off a lowly opening mark.
Adba (FR)
Modest maiden on the Flat for Ralph Beckett. Proved a different proposition third time up over hurdles, showing a good attitude to win weak Market Rasen mares maiden. Handicapper hasn't missed her on the back of that, for all she's still relatively unexposed for a good yard.
