Timeform View

ARTHURIAN stands out on the form of his third in a C&D listed event last month and should get off the mark on return to testing conditions. If there's a fly in the ointment, it'll surely be Ralph Beckett's La Torre.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Arthurian traded at a low of 1.27 and Betfair SP of 1.62 when losing last time, a race in which it led.

Timeform Comments

Arthurian
Showed much improved form when 1¼-length third in C&D listed race here (heavy) last month. Flighty in the preliminaries before being turned over by a better prospect at Beverley (8.5f, good to firm) subsequently. This is another good opportunity and the one to beat on return to testing conditions.
Flores Concerto
Foaled March 16. 130,000 gns yearling, New Bay gelding. Half-brother to useful winner up to 9.4f Moon de Vega. Dam, French 11f winner, half-sister to smart French winner up to 10.5f Celimene. Makes appeal on paper for yard that can ready one, however, hardly a positive he's already been gelded.
Kesari
Foaled February 10. 72,000 gns Study of Man colt. Dam, 7f/1m winner, half-sister to useful 8.6f-1¼m winner Persona Grata. Down the field at long odds on debut at Kempton and very much the type his yard targets at handicaps.
Nicamoo
Has only beaten one rival home in a couple of 7f novices. Hooded for step up in trip and this is likely a springboard to nurseries.
Top Of The World (IRE)
Foaled March 8. 105,000 gns yearling, Ghaiyyath colt. Closely related to 14.5f winner Reem Rak. Dam, winner up to 11f (2-y-o 1¼m winner), half-sister to very smart winner up to 16.5f Berkshire Rocco. Cost a pretty penny, though yard typically campaign their juveniles for the longer term.
La Torre
Well-bred daughter of Lope de Vega. Strong in the betting/showed promise amid greenness (not given hard time) when 4¾-length third at Leicester (7f, good) on debut. That form has merit and she's sure to improve stepping up in trip for excellent yard. Likely the main threat to Arthurian.
