Has failed to kick on this year having continued to race freely, though not totally disgraced when fourth of 5 in handicap at Wolverhampton (1½m) 14 days ago. Needs to build on it.
Patrol (IRE)
Added to a good record at Southwell when ending a lengthy losing run there (1½m) in September. Posted a respectable fifth of 10 in handicap at Nottingham (1¼m, soft) 9 days ago. Not out of things.
Krissy (IRE)
Gamely notched her fourth victory of the season at Musselburgh (9f) in June and has mostly remained in good form, ridden too aggressively in first-time cheekpieces when seventh of 9 at Ayr (1¼m, heavy) last time. This C&D winner can bounce back.
Porth Eilian
Made a successful handicap debut at Hamilton (1m) in May and doubled her tally at Beverley (1m) in July. Back on track when chasing home an upwardly-mobile sort at Newmarket (1m, good to firm) last time. Needs considering stepping up in trip.
Qitaal
Ended a lengthy losing run (in refitted visor) over C&D in September but not so good in same headgear when seventh at Chester and Kempton since. Bounce back is needed in first-time blinkers.
Yafaarr (IRE)
On the up since the cheekpieces went on and bids for a hat-trick following a pair of wins at Redcar, scoring easily in 9-runner handicap (1¼m, good to soft) on latter occasion. This course scorer is a big player despite 7 lb weights hike.
Yafreh
Twice runner-up in the summer but below par since, tried in cheekpieces when sixth of 12 in handicap at Hamilton (1½m, soft) 25 days ago. More is required on tapeta debut if he's to get off the mark.
Guesstimate
Got off the mark at Nottingham in July and runner-up twice since, most recently in 12-runner handicap at Southwell (11f) 22 days ago. Can go very well again nudged up 1 lb.
Variety Act (GER)
Lightly-raced sort. Took a major step forward in first-time cheekpieces (retained) when landing 11-runner handicap at Wolverhampton (9.5f) 18 days ago. Up 2 lb but very much one to consider.
Clatford (IRE)
Runner-up in 1m Southwell novice in March but a well-held eleventh in similar company there (1m) on final run for Martyn Meade in June. Improvement needed on yard/handicap debut after a break.
