Timeform View

ROGUE ENCORE has done all his winning at this track and he's well treated if a break revitalises him, so he's worth chancing at the expense of Media Legend, who is the progressive runner in the field and last-time-out winners Coolree and Intrusively.

Timeform Comments

Thunder Wonder (IRE)
Had shaped better when third of 9 at Musselburgh in June despite dwelling but started even worse when down the field at Redcar over 1¼m last time and comes with risks attached back at 1m and returned to all-weather.
Nepal (IRE)
Won at Sakhir in January but has struggled since moving from George Scott, most recently only tenth of 11 at Redcar 37 days ago when trapped out wide. Returns to all-weather with first-time visor applied.
Rogue Encore
All 3 career wins over C&D and, though he's not fired yet this year, there was more promise in his recent sixth of 14 in a handicap here in July and he is now 5 lb below last winning mark so could show a lot more returning from an 83-day break.
Jungle Ruler (IRE)
Consistent earlier this year and finished second of 5 at Sandown in July but hasn't fired last 2 outings, including in first-time cheekpieces last time. Both of his wins have come on all-weather and he's not out of things. Engaged 5.00 Southwell Thursday.
Media Legend (IRE)
Progressive sort who got off the mark at Yarmouth over this trip 11 days ago, improving after finishing second to a subsequent winner at Newmarket the time before. Merits plenty of respect under a penalty up against older rivals.
Matter Of Britain
Won a thin maiden at Hamilton in August but 11th of 11 at the same track in a handicap 26 days ago, shaping as if amiss. Something to prove now making all-weather debut.
They All Know Me
Back down to his winning mark and ran creditably when second of 10 over 7f at Carlisle in September. Not so good over 1m last time, though, and now returns to all-weather.
Intrusively
Won over 7f here 4 days ago for a first success for connections after slipping in the weights this season. Back at the same venue under penalty and back up in trip so could go well assuming he doesn't revert to his slow-starting ways.
Urban Road
Out of sorts when last seen in July but is a more solid proposition on all-weather and won 3 times from similar marks last year. Well treated if the return to all-weather perks him up after 102 days off, though does go without his usual headgear.
Coolree (IRE)
Won at Beverley over 7f 24 days ago, recording a fifth course success with a well-run race suiting him down to the ground. 2 lb higher mark may not prevent him getting competitive back on all-weather.
