KEEP THE GOLD is yet to win but got back on track from a falling mark when runner-up over C&D last month and is unexposed on all-weather so this looks a good chance for him to get off the mark. Both Falcon Queen and Crypto Quest make appeal for the places.

Timeform Comments

Pockley
Won this race 12 months ago and has 6 C&D wins to his name but has struggled since returning from a 9-month absence, failing to beat a rival in 2 outings, and he still goes without his usual headgear here so is hard to be too confident about.
Zuffolo (IRE)
Twice a winner over C&D and also won at Ripon in July. Last couple of outings haven't been encouraging but is now back in 0-55 company for the first time since last success.
Masai Angel (FR)
Last of 12 at Southwell in August before more encouraging fifth of 10 at this course over 6f 27 days ago, racing freely. Now drops to 5f but often starts slowly and isn't certain to be in the same form here.
Powernap
Won in June but had 2 poor runs afterwards. Fourth of 9 over C&D 15 days ago looked a step back in the right direction and merits some consideration back down in grade.
Crypto Quest (IRE)
Off for nearly 2 years before returning in late August but returned to form when second of 11 in a 5f handicap at Southwell 10 days ago. He's a C&D winner from 7 lb higher mark and looks one to take seriously for stable going better now.
Woodhay Whisper (IRE)
Last won in February and has struggled since leaving Jack Jones. Hard to make a case for.
Keep The Gold
Yet to win but got back on track from a falling mark when second of 9 over C&D 27 days ago. That form has already been franked by the winner and he's lightly raced on all-weather so looks well up to winning a race like this.
Falcon Queen (IRE)
Hasn't had a clear run last 2 outings but still performed respectably when fifth of 20 at Ayr in better race than she need contest 29 days ago. Capable of better with a clear passage down in grade and returned to all-weather (made the frame all 3 previous outings).
Great Success
Showed little in 2 runs since leaving Richard & Peter Fahey, racing too freely in first-time blinkers on latter. Now drops to 5f for the first time.
Tommie's Angel (IRE)
Lightly raced and ran well when third of 12 at Southwell in first-time tongue strap in September. Easily excused latest run when badly hampered at the start and has more to recommend than most.
Shatin Venture (IRE)
Ran his best race for a while when second of 8 in a handicap over C&D 21 days ago. Far from certain to back that up, though.
