Timeform View

KABRAL DU MATHAN showed high-class form over hurdles for Dan Skelton last season and should prove hard to beat now starting out over fences. Both Hold The Serve (second choice) and Dream Shadow progressed well over hurdles last season and can fight it out for minor honours on their respective chasing debuts.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Kabral Du Mathan traded at a low of 1.23 and Betfair SP of 5.65 when losing last time, a race in which it raced towards the rear and travelled strongly early on.

Timeform Comments

Hold The Serve (IRE)
Successful sole start in points and on the up over hurdles last season, completing a hat-trick at Kempton (21f) in February. Comes here on the back of a second breathing operation and he's much respected now going chasing.
Jabbar (IRE)
A fairly useful 17f hurdles winner. Runner-up on his chasing debut in 19f maiden at Downpatrick in August. Well held both Flat runs since but no surprise to see him bounce back reverted to this sphere.
Kabral Du Mathan (FR)
Took it up another notch for current yard last season, bagging Relkeel at Cheltenham on New Year's Day before stamina let him down when fourth in Stayers' Hurdle (3m) there. A most exciting chasing prospect who won't be inconvenienced by this drop in trip. Impossible to oppose.
Dream Shadow (IRE)
Bumper winner who made excellent strides over hurdles in 2025/26, signing off with a third success in listed novice at Haydock (21f, good) in April. No forlorn hope on her chasing debut.
