BALLYGEARY is a quirky type but he gained a second success here over C&D last week, and is weighted to follow up off a 3 lb higher mark. Saint Polo is feared most starting out for Jack Jones with Pergamon also well in the mix in his bid to extend his winning hurdling sequence to five.

Made it 4 wins on the spin over hurdles in a 3-runner handicap at Sedgefield (17f, good) last month. Up 4 lb but not taken lightly in his current mood.
Pigeon House (IRE)
Made all in 2m Catterick claiming hurdle on final start for Jennie Candlish in March. Very much a mixed bag for new connections, just a fair fourth of 7 in handicap hurdle at Stratford (19f, good to firm) last month. Needs to build on it.
Saint Polo (FR)
Completed a handicap hurdle hat-trick at Sedgefield (17f) in August. Not disgraced when third of 5 at Newton Abbot (17f, good) 19 days ago on his final run for Jennie Candlish. Must enter calculations starting out for another good yard.
Caelan (IRE)
Won 2m maiden hurdle at Worcester last September and in the frame several times after for Olly Murphy. Virtually refused to race on the Flat this summer though so has a bit to prove back hurdling for new yard.
Ballygeary (IRE)
Quirky sort but ended a long losing run in 6-runner handicap hurdle over C&D (good to firm) 9 days ago. Back up 3 lb but still weighted to go close.
Takeit Easy
Veteran hasn't stood much racing in recent seasons but ended last term in good nick when in the frame in 2m handicap hurdles at Fakenham and Kempton in the spring. Needs to hit the ground running on his return though.
