HELIOS ALLEN is a long time without a win, but he has started life well for Ben Case and is taken to go one better than when twice runner-up recently and gain a breakthrough success in this sphere. Cap Ricochet rates a big danger on the back of his chasing debut C&D win, while Tom Ellis' new recruit Golly Gosh is also firmly in the picture.

Timeform Comments

Synchronist (IRE)
Won a pair of 2m handicap hurdles in 2024/25 but he failed to take to this discipline, trailing in a remote last of 4 in handicap chase at Huntingdon (2½m, good to soft) in March. Needs to take a big step forward on his return.
Forcetoreckonwith (IRE)
Opened her account under Rules in 2m handicap chase at Newcastle in March. Yet to hit top form this summer though, a never-dangerous fourth of 9 in handicap chase at Worcester (2m, good to soft) 22 days ago. More is required.
Cap Ricochet
Maiden hurdler. Got off the mark at the first attempt over fences in 6-runner handicap over C&D (good to firm) 9 days ago. Up 6 lb but looks to have more to offer. Player with Brian Hughes again up.
Golly Gosh (IRE)
Little encouragement over hurdles for Billy Aprahamian. Took a step forward on his yard/chasing debut with second of 4 in handicap at Stratford (19f, good) 12 days ago. Well in the mix off the same mark.
Helios Allen (FR)
Fourteen runs since his sole win over hurdles back in 2021. He has made a positive start for his new handler, finishing runner-up in handicap chases at Fontwell (21f) and Southwell (2½m) this season. Weighted to go well off an unchanged mark.
