ASHDOWN FOREST's latest form has been well advertised and a return to 2m may see him double his tally for the Skeltons. Mayday Games and Mojo Ego head the dangers in a tricky finale.

Timeform Comments

Ballyearl (FR)
Didn't offer much in a couple of starts for Henry de Bromhead following an absence this summer. Sold out of that yard for only £800 and was beaten by more than the longer trip when pulled up on stable debut at Cartmel (2¾m) in late-August.
Mojo Ego (IRE)
Suited by the emphasis on speed when making it 2 wins from 4 starts for present yard in a course handicap (2¼m) last month. Shaped as if still in form when 12 lengths fourth at Worcester latest and appeals in his bid to make it 2-2 at this track.
Made All
Built on his earlier promise when narrowly opening his hurdle account under this emerging claimer at Sedgefield (17f, good) last time. This looks another competitive race and a 3 lb higher mark may just prevent a double.
Mayday Games (IRE)
Front runner who is building up a good record at this track (2 wins & 3rd from 3 runs), finding a bit of improvement to see off a well-backed one over C&D last time. Should get to the lead again and capable of another bold bid off a 3 lb higher.
Ashdown Forest (IRE)
Proved a different proposition when landing the odds on debut for Dan Skelton at Uttoxeter (2m) in July. Solid form in defeat both starts since, again looking stretched by the trip when third to a couple of next-time-out winners at Bangor (2½m) latest. Return to 2m can see him resume winning ways.
Raffles Nobu (FR)
Capitalised on a much-reduced mark when scoring at Newton Abbot (18.5f) in July. Bumped into a well-treated one there last month before typically promising more than he delivered when 16½-length fifth of 15 at Chepstow latest. Likely to benefit from a return to a sharper track/change of headgear.
Lucky Sevens
Lightly-raced 3-y-o hurdler who has his quirks. Runner-up on hurdling debut here before fortunate to go one better in another small-field C&D event in July. Big price for a handicap debutant from this yard when 9¼-length fourth at Uttoxeter (2m, 14/1) latest. A 1 lb reprieve may not be enough.
