Timeform View

Having dropped to a very handy mark, BALDOMERO came up agonisingly short at York last week and that performance strongly suggests that he's ready to cash in. Rosenpur has a handy draw to exploit and that makes him dangerous, with Tyger Bay and Woodstock also of interest.

Timeform Comments

Rosenpur (GER)
Proved at least as good as ever when registering a third Chester success from the front in May. Didn't have much luck at that venue in July and quickly right back on his game when adding to tally at Redcar, leading close home. Up just 1 lb and he's well drawn to attack.
Belsito (GER)
Enhanced excellent Hamilton record when landing 8-runner handicap last month, driven out. Brushed aside at Ayr and he doesn't seem the same force away from the stiff finish of the Lanarkshire venue.
Baldomero (IRE)
Four-time winner on turf/all-weather in 2025. Yet to get his head in front this season but couldn't do much more at York last week, failing by a short-head against a well-backed rival. 3 lb rise looks very fair and he's the one to beat.
Woodstock
Arrives in decent heart, building on some in-frame efforts to snap a 2-year losing run in a big field at Ripon. Hasn't been seen to best effect both starts since so needs treating as though still in good form.
Tyger Bay
Returned to form from out of the blue to record a first victory on turf for over 2 years in 12-runner event at Yarmouth (6f, good) last month. Race didn't go to plan at Kempton 12 days ago so with that in mind, it was another solid effort.
Manila Scouse
Ground-versatile type but has gone off the boil since winning from 2 lb higher at Ayr in July. Eases in class but easy to have doubts at present.
Mister Sox
Enjoyed a productive 2025 with 4 victories, including over C&D. Mixed record this season but did cash in on a falling mark/drop in grade at Pontefract 12 days ago. Retains handicap scope up 2 lb.
Another Investment (IRE)
Went close 3 times in succession in July and August but his form has tailed off since.
The Gay Blade
Is enjoying a fine season, bagging a sixth success at Ayr in June. Hasn't returned from a short break in much form of late, however.
Quercus (IRE)
Boasts a fine record at this track, winning over C&D for the eighth time in August. Off since and a 3lb rise in a better race along with stall 10 all potential stumbling blocks.
