Having returned to his last winning mark, soon left behind a lesser effort when scoring in a class 3 at Pontefract (6f) 12 days ago, the second that day running well again since. Major player able to drop back down in grade.
Misunderstood (FR)
Shaped well when going close at Beverley in August and at Thirsk last month. However, failed to meet expectations when fourth of 10 at Ayr 18 days ago. Tongue strap on first time for current connections and he's eased in the weights, though his losing run continues to mount up.
Eagle Bay
Successful at around 7f on first 2 starts for current yard this season but hasn't matched that form in a trio of handicaps since, seventh of 9 at Nottingham (8.5f) 16 days ago.
Diamont Katie (IRE)
Gained a first handicap victory at Pontefract (6f) in April and has continued in good heart since, having excuses on penultimate outing before a ready success over this C&D 17 days ago. 5 lb rise in the weights will make things tougher, though.
Quest For Fun
Winner of a division of this race in 2023 and runner-up last year. Arrives having made the frame on 5 of his last 7 starts, fourth of 20 at York 8 days ago, and he could be thereabouts once more.
Call Me Betty (IRE)
Won at Carlisle (6f) on second outing of the campaign but below form over the same trip since, last of 9 at Newcastle 16 days ago. Has dropped below her last winning mark, though others more persuasive at present.
Havana Prince
Successful at Newcastle in March and best effort since when third at the same course last month. However, wasn't able to build on that run when well held there 22 days ago. Cheekpieces now back on.
Von Trotter
Showed improved form upped to 7f when getting off the mark at Doncaster in August and, after a close second next time, made all at Carlisle last month. Can make another bold bid with more still to offer over this trip.
Zarvali (IRE)
Got off the mark in novice over this C&D on seasonal/stable debut in May. More miss than hit in handicaps since, having excuses on penultimate start but faring no better when seventh of 9 here 17 days ago.
Kings Merchant
Took advantage of his reduced mark at Chester (7f) in July and showed a good attitude when also scoring here (6f) in September. Creditable third of 10 at Ripon 3 weeks ago and he can give another good account.
