Timeform View

SNOWING showed much improved form when third in a listed race here last month and, having faced a tough ask in a Newmarket Group 1 since, she looks to hold leading claims back in maiden company. Sensational Filly shaped promisingly on debut and is next on the list, while Taranga makes plenty of appeal on paper.

Timeform Comments

Acquilyx (IRE)
Offered little promise on debut when last of 16 in maiden at Gowran at the start of September. Looks to be up against it.
Anymore (IRE)
Foaled March 2. Wootton Bassett filly. Sister to very smart winner up to 10.2f Whirl (2-y-o 7f/1m winner). Noteworthy newcomer for her leading connections.
Fahrana (FR)
Sent off at big odds (50/1) and ran green on debut when eleventh of 15 in maiden at Naas (6f) in August. Needs to have learned plenty from that first outing.
Ita Florence (IRE)
In need of the experience when sixth of 16 in maiden at Gowran (7f) on debut (Snowing ahead in second) and was much sharper when second in 13-runner contest at Naas (6f) last week. Open to further progress.
Lady Letita (IRE)
Foaled April 15. Lope De Vega filly. Dam, 1½m-17f winner who stayed 2½m. Bred for longer trips but she's worth a market check, her much-respected yard's first 2-y-o runner of the season.
Miss Hong Kong (IRE)
Strong in the betting and showed plenty of ability when second of 11 in maiden at Naas on debut a month ago. Could be in the mix with her first run behind her.
Oath Of Honor (IRE)
Foaled March 20. €87,500 foal, €70,000 2-y-o, Camelot filly. Half-sister to several winners, including useful French 10.5f-1½m winner Verimli (stayed 1¾m) and 2-y-o 7f winner Hengroin. Has a fairly useful standard to aim at first time up.
Ria's Angel (IRE)
Foaled March 9. Dark Angel filly. Half-sister to useful winner up to 7f Pen Portrait. Dam, 1m-1¼m winner, half-sister to very smart winner up to 1¼m Rio de La Plata. May just be better for this debut run.
Sensational Filly (FR)
Half-sister to the high-class Constitution River and showed plenty to work on when third of 13 in maiden at Dundalk on debut 22 days ago, the winner finishing second in the Fillies Mile at Newmarket since. Enters calculations with improvement to come.
Snowing (IRE)
Runner-up twice in maidens from her first 4 starts before taking a step forward when third in listed race over this C&D last month. Stiff task when well held in the Cheveley Park at Newmarket (6f) 3 weeks ago, but she's the one to beat back in a maiden.
Sweet Disposition (IRE)
Foaled February 6. Night of Thunder filly. Half-sister to 6.7f-9f winner The Big Short. Dam, ran twice in France, half-sister to smart 1¼m/10.5f winner Queen's Jewel. Third of 7 in barrier trial (behind a subsequent maiden winner) at this course in August.
Taranga (FR)
Foaled April 1. Dubawi filly. Half-sister to several winners, including high-class 1¼m-1½m winner Tarnawa, very smart winner up to 1m Tahiyra and useful 1m winner Tarima. Catches the eye on pedigree for connections who have won this race 3 times in the last 6 renewals.
Velvet Dusk (IRE)
Foaled April 5. €80,000 yearling, State of Rest filly. Half-sister to 3 winners, including 2-y-o 6f winner Barefoot Beach and 2-y-o 7f winner Nightcliff. Yard's 2-y-o newcomers have tended to be in need of their first experience.
