AT THE WINGS has been thriving of late and is fancied to defy another rise in the weights and complete his hat-trick, with the longer trip expected to suit. Dalmatic won over C&D last December and, with a recent run now under his belt, he can prove the main danger, with Western Opera and Friar Hogan also respected.

Point winner who hasn't made much impact under Rules but will be suited by this further step up in trip.
Dalmatic (IRE)
Finally off the mark in C&D handicap last season and was presumably having a pipe-opener when returning at Roscommon over an inadequate trip last month. Will be suited by the return to this longer trip and this venue. One to consider.
Friar Hogan (IRE)
Close second at this course in July. Unsuited by run of race at Kilbeggan next time and might have needed the run when down the field at Clonmel 16 days ago. Should be suited by the step back up in trip. Entitled to be thereabouts if back to his best.
Island Mccoo (IRE)
Scored over hurdles at Kilbeggan in June. Creditable in-frame efforts in handicap chases on 2 of his last 3 starts, though carried head awkwardly when 3¼ lengths third of 15 to Andyourbirdcansing at Sligo on latest.
Lord De Choisel (FR)
Little in impact over hurdles, including on handicap debut in July. Not seen since.
Elbow Lane (IRE)
Lightly-raced maiden. 66/1, seventh of 13 in handicap hurdle at Clonmel (2m) in April. Plenty to find on form but step up in trip should suit on pedigree.
Ancient Myth (IRE)
Standout effort over hurdles when beaten 6 lengths at Ballinrobe (2¾m) in first-time blinkers in August. Back up in trip and cheekpieces now reached for.
Political Stance (IRE)
Runner-up on handicap debut at Clonmel last season and turned in his best effort since when 23¼ lengths fifth of 13 to James The Brave at Killarney last time, albeit without fully convincing at the longer trip.
At The Wings (IRE)
Capitalised on reduced mark when winning 15-runner 19f handicap at Navan in September and then followed up in 2½m event at Gowran 15 days ago. Up another 6 lb and hood goes back on now bidding for a hat-trick, with the longer trip likely to suit. On the shortlist.
Midnight Musical (IRE)
Made an encouraging bumper debut at Galway last summer. Went wrong way afterwards and has followed a similar trend over hurdles this season. Wears first-time blinkers.
It's Time Again (IRE)
Hasn't threatened over hurdles since crashing out (might have won) at the last at Clonmel (2¾m) in June. Went close despite a laboured performance in a extended 23f handicap chase at Killarney 13 days ago. Reverts to hurdling off same mark but has looked an increasingly difficult ride.
Silent Flight (IRE)
Sole success came in 2½m Punchestown handicap hurdle in January 2024. Has struggled since but showed a bit more when 9½ lengths third of 16 to Kilkee Bay in amateur handicap at Roscommon last time.
Another Ocana (IRE)
On long losing run but posted several solid efforts in defeat in the spring, shaping better than the distance beaten suggests when 28½ lengths third of 11 to Zolpharine in handicap chase at this track in May when last seen. Returns off career-low mark.
Tasmanian Girl (IRE)
Caused a shock when landing a handicap at Thurles in March 2025 for Aengus King. Made more impact than previously for current yard when 2¾ lengths third of 9 to Lanzhou in 2m handicap at Tramore last time, though steps significantly back up in trip here.
Fervida (IRE)
Maiden who hit the frame for the first time when beaten 21½ lengths in a Tramore maiden (21f) in August but produced a laboured effort when well beaten last time.
Western Opera (IRE)
Respectable efforts on 3 of her last 4 starts, 6½ lengths fourth of 14 to Fire Coral in mares handicap at Listowel on latest. Will continue to give a good account.
Doyen Og (IRE)
Long-standing maiden handicapper. Ran one of her better races when 5 lengths fifth of 14 to Youknowme at Downpatrick last time.
Leva Deva (IRE)
Has shown precious little to date. Big outsider. RESERVE.
Fenian Maxios (IRE)
Standout effort over hurdles when runner-up in conditionals maiden at Thurles in March. Went with no encouragement on return from 6-month absence 9 days ago. RESERVE.
