Timeform View

A fiendishly-difficult finale to solve with cases able to be made for several. The vote goes to ZARAAHMANDO, who has made the frame 7 times this season and Andrew Slattery's 4-y-o can belatedly open his 2026 account. Bundle of Interest got closer than previously this season last time and now reunited with Billy Lee, she could provide most resistance. Bay of Dreams and the selection's stablemate Queen Aethelflaed can fight out minor honours.

Timeform Comments

Jon Riggens (IRE)
Ended a long losing run at Navan (6f, good) in June but not so good the last twice this month, latest just 3 days ago at the Curragh (7f, soft). Others more appealing.
Bella Colombia (IRE)
Followed up her comfortable Killarney success in 9f course handicap this summer. Seemed to find latest Fairyhouse effort coming too soon 9 days on from shaping well in an ultra-competitive event here last month so could get back on track partnered by a talented claimer.
Zaraahmando (IRE)
Has made the frame 7 times this season, most recently when second of 15 at Listowel (1m, good to soft) last month. Could be worth chancing to open his account for the campaign.
Tachos (IRE)
Delivered the sort of performance she has been threatening for a while in first-time cheekpieces when winning 8-runner event here (1m) in August. Struggled next time but not disgraced when third of 5 at Bellewstown (1m, soft) recently, needing more of a test. Others preferred at this trip.
Bundle Of Interest (IRE)
Dropped to a handy mark and took a step back in the right direction when third of 15 at Gowran (1m, good to soft) just under 7 weeks ago. Back down in trip and merits consideration reunited with Billy Lee.
Faoladh (IRE)
Successful twice in handicaps this season, bouncing back to form when scoring at the Galway Festival (7f). Arrives in top form, most recently when second of 14 at Down Royal (7f, good to soft) just under 3 weeks ago.
Bay Of Dreams (IRE)
Two wins in Britain for James Ferguson last year and back in top form for new yard (runners going well here this week), landing 1m Bellewstown handicap early in July before a good fifth at Galway (8.6f) in late-July. One to note if ready to roll with promising apprentice booked.
Purely (IRE)
No star but turned in her best effort to date when second of 13 in maiden at Dundalk (7f) just over a fortnight ago. Chance if able to build on that back in handicap company.
Rosato (IRE)
Had eased to 4 lb below her last winning mark and readily took advantage in 22-runner event at Navan (6f, good to soft) 11 days ago, maintaining her unbeaten record over that C&D. Claims if backing that up on her first start over 7f of the year from 11 lb higher.
Bear Right (IRE)
Has now had 13 starts but has made the frame in handicaps on her last 6 outings, again running creditably on all-weather bow when fourth of 13 in maiden at Dundalk (7f) recently. Visor replaces the cheekpieces for this return to a handicap.
Altimara (IRE)
Turned in best effort of season when 2 lengths fifth of 16 at Naas (7f, good) in early-August but not in the same form with headgear discarded over C&D (good to firm) later that month. Freshened up since and no surprise to see the hood back on.
Greek Flower (IRE)
Coming up to 3 years without a win (got a double up in October 2023) but shaped better than the distance beaten suggested when sixth of 14 at Down Royal (7f, good to soft) just under 3 weeks ago. Has slipped to a career-low mark and while she's not one for maximum faith, she's respected.
Queen Aethelflaed (IRE)
Built on previous promise this season when scoring at Gowran (1m) in June before shaping well here. Down the field next 3 starts but back on song when third of 14 at Thurles (8.3f, good to soft) 10 days ago. Each-way claims from the same mark.
Green Kite (IRE)
Yet to win but several good efforts this season, including when second here in June. Has rather gone off the boil of late but the handicapper gives him a squeak as a result.
Montevetro (IRE)
Has failed to kick on since debut second at Chelmsford in March for Charlie Appleby. Yet to threaten in 4 starts for this yard and hard to know what trip he wants. RESERVE.
Gegenpressing
Showed benefit of reappearance run when winning at Sligo in May, landing the race for third year in succession. Below form back on a straight 6f at the Curragh the following month and not seen since. RESERVE.
Go Sioux Me (IRE)
Continued a theme of run-to-run progression and showed a solid turn of foot when winning a 7f maiden at Down Royal in September 2023. Offered little returning from very nearly 3 years off at Gowran recently and now makes handicap bow. RESERVE.
