DUCE BIGALOW arrives on the back of an encouraging return and may still have more to offer as a stayer after just 3 starts at this trip. Just For One is likely to prove the main danger if building on his recent comeback and staying 3m as well as his pedigree suggests, while Haveanothertry and Run For The Border are also respected.

Timeform Comments

Haveanothertry (IRE)
Placed twice in maiden hurdles for Gordon Elliott last season but stepped up on those efforts when 2½ lengths third of 16 to Run Ted Run in similar event at Listowel on debut for current connections last month. Should be suited by the step up to 3m on handicap debut.
Fenway Park (IRE)
Resumed winning ways after an unsuccessful stint chasing in 8-runner claiming hurdle at Clonmel in February and then backed that up when runner-up in a similar race at Naas a week later. Well held in a handicap on return/debut for new yard when last seen in June, though.
Lucy Wang (IRE)
Stepped up markedly on previous efforts for current yard when 1¼ lengths second of 14 to Nelson Muntz in 2½m handicap at Gowran last time. Up 3 lb and tackles 3m for only the second time here.
Therellbguddaysyet (IRE)
Point and maiden hurdle winner, who ran respectably when fifth of 19 to Mighty Berkshire in handicap at Galway in July but well held back over fences last time.
Sallap (IRE)
Won extended 2¾m handicap at Clonmel in June. Followed that up with a success in a similar event at Limerick in July. Has held form well since despite not always being seen to best effect, unsuited by emphasis on speed when 13¼ lengths fifth of 11 to Mount Shenshan at Clonmel last time.
Strange Currency (IRE)
Standout effort over hurdles came when third in heavy-ground Punchestown maiden in February. Hasn't matched that since, including on both starts for current yard, though wasn't seen to best effect when 13½ lengths seventh of 14 to Luck Between Us at Ballinrobe last time.
Just For One (IRE)
Career best when winning 16-runner handicap hurdle at Tramore (2m, good to soft, 14/1) in April. Looked rusty when mid-field in handicap at Galway after 6 months off last time. Steps up markedly in trip but it should be within his range on pedigree. Interesting.
Giorgia Rose (FR)
Maiden pointer. Hasn't really gone on from hurdling debut. Making no impact on handicap debut or on chasing debut last time. Hard to recommend on paper.
Run For The Border (IRE)
Course maiden hurdle winner last autumn. Largely held her form well in handicaps this summer, chasing home a fairly useful one at Ballinrobe (2¾m) in September and would probably have made the frame but for a late error at Listowel last time. Engaged 4.40 at Limerick on Saturday.
Strong Contender (IRE)
Readily surpassed previous hurdling exploits when a dominant winner of Wexford handicap (3m) in August and followed up at Sligo (3¼m) 12 days later. Has remained in form since, never nearer when 6½ lengths fifth of 14 to Fire Coral at Listowel last time.
Duce Bigalow (IRE)
Easily made a winning start for current yard in handicap hurdle at Down Royal (3m) in April, doing it in good style from the front. Shaped well off this higher mark when 11½ lengths third of 16 to Getaway Charlie in 2½m event at Roscommon last month and another bold bid expected back at 3m.
Three County Star (IRE)
Unplaced on all 15 starts under Rules and is impossible to recommend from 13 lb out of the handicap.
