Timeform View

REDHOT WHISPER is back in more realistic company so this looks a better opportunity for him to build on his Chepstow success. Pebble Dash is also drawn wide but has to be respected after his Ffos Las win, with course regular Blue Hero also considered.

Timeform Comments

Port Louis (IRE)
On a long losing run and made only laboured headway after completely missing the break at Ascot last month.
Blue Hero (CAN)
Has 11 course wins to name (twice this season), including 3 over C&D. Shaped as if still in form having been tucked in from a poor draw when fourth of 12 in handicap at this C&D (firm) 20 days ago, so can make more of an impact here.
Squiffy (IRE)
Improved to open her account at the second time of asking at Wolverhampton (7f) last December. Has matched that form on 2 of 3 her handicap starts since, most recently when sixth of 11 at Kempton (1m) 19 days ago. Well held on only prior start on turf, though.
Redhot Whisper (IRE)
Finally got off the mark (at the 21st attempt) when scoring at Chepstow in August. Can probably have a line put through his latest outing there (4 lb out of weights and marooned in centre of track) and he remains with plenty of handicapping scope in this more realistic company.
Havana Mojito
All 3 career victories at Brighton. Has finished runner-up 5 times this season, returning to form in a change of headgear when second of 10 in handicap there (7f, good) 13 days ago. Player if the visor works as well this time.
Guinness Lad (IRE)
Utilised a turn of pace to get off the mark at Windsor June and backed that up with another good third-placed effort there next time. Back on track on his last Flat outing there in August, having again showed no aptitude for hurdling in the interim.
Amathus (IRE)
Got off the mark for the season in 7f Salisbury handicap in July. Back on track in first-time blinkers after a couple of poor efforts when fourth of 10 in handicap at Brighton (7f, good) 21 days ago but others make more appeal on balance.
Pebble Dash (IRE)
Not long with this yard and he improved on his recent efforts to get off the mark in a 9-runner handicap at Ffos Las (1m, heavy, 11/1) 22 days ago, keeping on well. Merits consideration for all stall 13 isn't ideal.
Letsbeatsepsis
Capitalised on a drop in grade when winning 11-runner minor event at Windsor (1¼m, good to firm) in August but below form on his last 2 outings, so bounce back is required.
Freedom Bay
Off the mark at C&D in June and ran well to be second of 14 there last month, albeit not really convincing with her head carriage once hitting the front. Not in the same form faced with testing ground at Ffos Las last time.
Bobby Dassler (IRE)
Won at Chepstow from 5 lb higher mark over 1m in June but hasn't made much impact of late, albeit doing too much too soon in first-time blinkers when seventh of 9 in handicap (22/1) at Brighton (1¼m, good) 13 days ago.
Eye Of The Water (IRE)
Veteran on a long losing run and seems to be going through the motions at present, finishing sixth of 14 in handicap at this C&D (good to firm) 37 days ago. Has work to do.
Baynoona (IRE)
A regular here since winning over C&D last September. Standout effort this season came when runner-up over C&D in April but seemingly in a lull after, so bounce back required after 110 days off.
Haaf A Diamond
It's over 3 years since her sole win but she posted one of her better efforts when third in a Nottingham handicap on return from a 7-month absence in April. Badly hampered at Southwell next time but others still make greater appeal a break/stable switch (formerly with Kevin Frost).
