Timeform View

Probably not a strong maiden for the course, with SONNY HAYES taken to build on a promising first run at Cork and open his account. Nation Blaze should have a race in him, while Aidan O'Brien's pair Major Triumph and newcomer Tabasco River have to be respected.

Timeform Comments

Eagle Eclipse (IRE)
From a successful family for the yard and shaped as if in need of the experience on debut at Cork (5f) 2 months ago. 6f will suit and he can improve.
Elzante (IRE)
Looked one for later on when ninth of 15 in maiden at Naas (6f, good to firm) on debut 58 days ago.
Major Triumph (IRE)
Well bred but was too green to do himself justice behind One Flash on recent debut at Naas (6f). Open to improvement for top yard.
Nation Blaze (IRE)
Big price and struggled in a 7f sales race here 3 weeks ago but good claims on his previous second at Cork (6f) when splitting an 80+ rated pair.
One Flash (IRE)
Improved from his debut, though it was still just modest form, when beaten 12 lengths by classy Bengal Tiger at Naas (6f) 9 days ago. Will need to pull out a lot more to win a maiden.
Paul Pierre (IRE)
Well held in 1m maidens and unlikely 6f will be in his favour. Could be one for handicaps over middle distances next year (from the family of top-class stayer Kyprios).
Rejoinder (IRE)
Down the field in 5f Naas listed race, and having been gelded, a 6f maiden there 3 months apart.
Shake It Out
Offered something to work on in C&D maiden 3 weeks ago, not knocked about. This should reveal more.
Sharf Ardad (IRE)
Might have needed the run on his recent debut at Dundalk (7f). Cheekpieces quickly go on.
Sonny Hayes (IRE)
Made a promising start when fourth in 5f Cork maiden 3 weeks ago, not clear run 1f out and finishing with running left. Bound to improve and one of the more likely players up in trip.
Tabasco River (IRE)
Foaled March 17. No Nay Never colt. Brother to 1m-1¼m winner Latin. Dam, 1½m winner, half-sister to smart winner up to 1¼m (stayed 1½m) Hazapour out of smart 1¼m-1½m winner Hazarafa. Trainer has won this a couple of times in recent years with newcomers, though Ryan Moore partners Major Triumph.
Castagliola
Foaled February 24. 90,000 gns yearling, Havana Grey filly. Half-sister to several winners, including 7f winners Tapisserie and Al Muqdad. Dam 2-y-o 5f winner. Appealing newcomer on paper.
Grecian Pearl (IRE)
Rare 2-y-o runner for the stable and offered little on recent debut at Naas (1m).
