POTTERS PRINCE is well treated under a penalty for last week's 1m course success and can follow up under Oisin Murphy. The hat-trick-seeking Give Me Sun is second choice ahead of Divot, who scored twice over C&D during the summer.

Timeform Comments

Divot
Dual C&D winner in July, including under Cieren Fallon. Creditable fourth on all-weather at Lingfield last month and easy to forgive his subsequent Kempton effort after being rushed up to race close up from his wide draw. Considered back here.
Study Up
Free-going sort who won at Leicester (1¼m, firm) and posted a good second at Wolverhampton at the start of the summer but hasn't been in the same form in 3 outings since.
King's Castle (IRE)
Dual winner last summer and mostly at least respectable efforts in defeat this year.
Forever Endless
Didn't make much impact in his qualifying runs and it's been a similar story in his 2 handicaps. Still early days but improvement will be needed.
India Gold (IRE)
Turf maiden winner on soft last back-end. Bettered that form when second of 14 at Bath (1m, good) in June but ran poorly at Wolverhampton in July and off since. Goes up in trip.
Potters Prince
Low-mileage 4-y-o who had something to spare when off the mark over 1m here last week and could take a bit of stopping under a penalty if as effective at this longer trip.
Crimson Rambler
Won twice on all-weather in March and has produced several solid in-frame efforts on turf since, including latest third of 14 at Nottingham (1¼m, good). Potters Prince looks the yard's first string, though.
Court Of Stars (IRE)
Started 3-y-o campaign well, winning at Kempton and then in frame next 3 starts but she has lost her way recently and now has something to prove.
Mmmbop
Fair maiden who was a creditable fourth of 11 in Sandown handicap over this trip (good to soft) last month. Never involved when stepped up to 1½m back on all-weather since. Cheekpieces are reached for on the back of that.
John Harrison
Maiden who has posted some creditable efforts in handicaps this year but weakened to finish well held over 9.5f at Wolverhampton 29 days ago.
Sense Of Reason
All-weather Flat winner last year. Fair form over hurdles last winter but folded tamely and pulled up in maiden hurdle at Southwell when last seen in May. The betting should help guide to expectations on return.
Give Me Sun
On a hat-trick after wins over this trip at Windsor (firm) and Ffos Las (good to soft) in July/August. Much respected.
Regulus Black
Scored at Chepstow (1¼m) for Hugo Palmer in May. Placed on next 2 outings but hasn't been at the same level in 2 starts for new stable in recent months. Needs to recapture his best form.
Bumaan
Runner-up in his first 2 handicaps. Perhaps simply failed to cope with firm ground when remote last of 4 at Bath (1¾m) in July. Given time since. Returns over a shorter trip with first-time cheekpieces added to his tongue tie.
African Gib
Still a maiden. Recent efforts around 1½m have been creditable but doesn't obviously shape as if likely to benefit from this drop back in trip.
Sweetstevie
Made more impact than previously in a first-time visor when second in a C&D classified race in June but has failed to back it up in 2 subsequent outings.
