Bounced back to form (in refitted tongue tie and change of headgear) to land 12-runner handicap at Redcar (6f, good to soft) 4 days ago. Saddles a 5 lb penalty but scored readily so expected to be bang there again.
Nuevo Slovo (IRE)
Ayr maiden winner in 2025 who was also an excellent sixth in Windsor Castle at Royal Ascot for John O'Donoghue. Well held this season for his current yard, however, visored for first time when seventh of 9 at Bath last time. Tongue strap and cheekpieces are tried now.
My Boy Harry
Recorded a third success of the year at Lingfield (7f) in May. Has continued in decent form, fourth of 7 at Brighton (1m, good) in June on final run for Jim & Suzi Best. Not out of things for new yard in first-time cheekpieces.
Thunderous Love
Fourteen runs since her last win in 2025 and was below form at Nottingham (6f, good) 19 days ago. Others are more persuasive.
Campani
Habitual slow starter but he gained a second win at Yarmouth (1m) in July. Very good second there in August but last of 10 in handicap at Brighton (7f, good) 22 days ago. Bounce back is needed.
Gemini Star (IRE)
Shaped well for new yard when second at Thirsk (6f) in May but well held in handicaps at Newcastle (6f) and Yarmouth (7f) since. Cheekpieces are retried now.
Rambuso Creek (IRE)
Doubled his tally for 2026 in 9-runner handicap at Nottingham (5f, good to soft) 6 days ago. Not taken lightly under a 4 lb penalty.
Dashing Donkey
Back on song with third of 9 in handicap at Lingfield (6f, all-weather) in August. This course winner merits consideration after a break.
Shining Guest (IRE)
Best effort when second in 5f classified event at Yarmouth in August. However, failed by a long way to repeat that effort when last of 6 back in handicap company at Brighton since.
Just King High (IRE)
Sole win came in 2024 but he wasn't discredited when fourth of 11 in handicap at Leicester (5f, good) last month. Others are still preferred.
