SEA LA ROMA's debut second at Yarmouth was full of promise and with this step up in distance sure to suit this Group 1-entered filly, she can find the necessary improvement to see off Empress Jingu. Al Afaweeq's pedigree is a very appealing one and the market may tell a story on debut.

Timeform Comments

Al Afaweeq (IRE)
Sixth foal, half-sister to smart 1¼m winner Al Asifah and useful 1¼m winner Altareq (both by Frankel). Dam, 2-y-o 7f winner who stayed 10.5f, half-sister to Irish 2000 Guineas winner Awtaad. Noteworthy newcomer for powerful owner.
Empress Jingu
Similar form all 3 starts, ridden positively when second of 7 in 8.5f maiden at Nottingham 3 weeks ago. That sets the standard on all-weather debut.
Sea La Roma (IRE)
Sea The Stars filly. Sister to 13f winner Nuit and 2-y-o 9f winner Poseidon's Warrior, both useful. Dam unraced half-sister to smart 1¼m-1½m winner Amazona out of Preis der Diana winner Amarette. Showed plenty amidst greenness when second on Yarmouth debut (7f). 1m sure to suit so leading claims.
