Timeform View

An open-looking nursery with the vote going to AGITATOR, who has shown more of what he's about back at a more realistic level recently and Oliver Cole's charge can double his tally in reapplied cheekpieces. Kaito was unable to reward favourite backers on his recent nursery debut, but he's worth another chance quickly returned to turf, with High Calibre rounding off the shortlist partnered by Sean Levey for the first time.

Timeform Comments

Give Hand (IRE)
Stepped forward from debut when third of 10 in an interesting-looking novice at Epsom but failed to justify favouritism making the quick switch to nurseries when fifth of 7 there (7f, good to soft) just over 3 weeks ago, never seeming to be going that well. Bounce back needed.
Kiah (IRE)
Seen to maximum advantage when second of 7 at Newmarket (July course) in early-August but has failed to beat a rival on both subsequent starts, most recently when having little go right on nursery debut at Newmarket (Rowley course) (7f, firm) just over 3 weeks ago.
Scrappetalene
Has run to a fair level on all 3 starts, most recently when second of 9 in novice at Pontefract (1m, good) last month. This switch to a nursery could well elicit some improvement.
Artemis Star
Fair maiden who ran as well as entitled to when seventh of 15 in valuable sales race at Newmarket (7f, good to firm) just over a fortnight ago. Now upped to 1m for this nursery debut and the booking of Marquand catches the eye.
Agitator
Left debut behind to open his account in Windsor maiden (6f) in May. Well held at Royal Ascot and Glorious Goodwood on next 2 starts, but back on track with sights lowered recently, second of 10 in nursery at Southwell (1m) just over a fortnight ago. Big shout in reapplied cheekpieces.
Quest For Glory
Much improved from debut when third of 9 at Lingfield (7f) in mid-July but failed to repeat that at Southwell 3 weeks later, proving too free to see his race out upped to a trip which should suit. Freshened up ahead of this turf/nursery debut.
High Calibre
Improved when second of 5 on handicap debut at Newmarket in early-August but failed to repeat that effort from 4 lb higher at Beverley (8.5f, good) the following month. Could well get back on track with Levey up for the first time.
Sweet Katarina
Didn't see things out having been rather keen early when fifth of 7 in maiden at Nottingham (8.5f, good) earlier in the month. Switch to nurseries could well show her in a more favourable light.
Desert Symphony (IRE)
Much improved on third start when second of 4 in novice at Epsom in mid-August but couldn't make the most of her experience in a deeper novice back there the following month. Needs to get back on track now tackling a nursery.
Absolute Diamond (IRE)
Won 7f Chepstow nursery in August. Flopped in a seller next time but back to form when narrowly denied in 7f Chester nursery (heavy) last month. Carried on her pattern of inconsistency when tailed off at Southwell since, though.
Nascent Star
Performed close to his best when third of 13 in nursery at Kempton (7f) just under 3 weeks ago. Upped to 1m and could well put his experience to good use.
Kaito
Strong in the betting but failed to improve at the first time of asking switched to all-weather/nurseries (also gelded) when sixth of 12 at Southwell (1m) 11 days ago. Worth another chance back on turf given the weight of support behind him that day.
Magical Life
Gained a first success in Kempton nursery in August but the handicapper has been winning the argument since and found herself outclassed from 8 lb out of the weights back there 5 days ago. Back from her 'proper' mark here and could fare better.
