Timeform View

AL QAYED was narrowly denied here last time and can go one better to get off the mark. Chapron shaped with promise on debut and may prove next best from the improving Finger Cross.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Al Qayed traded at a low of 2.78 and Betfair SP of 5.60 when losing last time, a race in which it raced in mid-field.

Timeform Comments

Al Qayed (IRE)
Promising type who's progressed with each start. Neck second of 6 to Divide And Conquer in C&D novice (firm, 7/2) 20 days ago. The one to beat.
Al Thara (IRE)
Ghaiyyath colt. Showed something to work on when fourth of 11 in maiden at Kempton (1m) on debut 19 days ago. Should improve.
Blue Odyssey (IRE)
Foaled March 25. 50,000 gns yearling, Space Blues gelding. Half-brother to US 5f/6f winner Incanto. Dam, third at 7f at 2 yrs, closely related to smart winner up to 11f Responsibleforlove. Best watched on debut.
Chapron
75,000 gns yearling, Nathaniel colt. Shaped with promise when third of 8 in maiden at Sandown (1m, good to soft, 9/1) on debut in September, doing good late work without being unduly punished. That race is working out quite well and he's sure to progress.
Finger Cross (IRE)
Showed more than first time up when fourth of 10 in maiden at Kempton (1m, 11/1) 19 days ago. Can make presence felt on qualifying run.
First Class Lad
Twice-raced maiden. Looked awkward when fifth of 6 in novice over C&D (firm, 250/1) 20 days ago. Needs another run for a mark.
Highland Frost
Well held in novice at Sandown and maiden at Kempton. Looks more one for longer trips next year.
Martaban
Twice-raced maiden who showed more than first time up when sixth of 12 in novice at Salisbury (1m, good to soft) 18 days ago. Will get a mark after this.
Radio Bar (USA)
Foaled February 25. American Pharoah colt. Half-brother to 1½m winner Wardlaw. Has stamina in pedigree and may be one for the longer term.
Rupertsbeenrumbled
Foaled January 24. Rumble Inthejungle gelding. Half-brother to 2m winner Rogue Justice. Dam, 1m winner, out of 1¾m-15f winner Nateeja, herself half-sister to smart winner up to 13.3f Hawaafez. A mix on breeding, market best guide.
Wowaditaka (IRE)
Sioux Nation gelding. Very green when last of 12 in novice at Salisbury (7f, good to soft) on debut 18 days ago. Can only be watched.
