THE ANTHONY GOVER is fancied to make it 3 wins from 4 starts over C&D. Albertini Star bids to make it 2-2 under Oisin Murphy and heads the dangers along with fellow 3-y-o Celtic Chariot. No Knee Never and Renesmee complete the shortlist for this competitive handicap.

Timeform Comments

Moonjid
Quirky sort. Bounced back to his best to double his tally at Yarmouth in June (albeit having the run of the race). Now 1 lb below that mark following creditable 4¾-length third over C&D, but he's no sure thing to capitalise with usual cheekpieces back on.
Sea The Light (IRE)
Winless since beating a couple of fairly useful sorts on his debut at Newcastle last May. Again failed to get competitive in a handicap on latest start over C&D in July. Given another chance by the assessor ahead of his return.
Renesmee
Three-time winner on all-weather (including here). Step back in right direction when runner-up over C&D last month. Subsequently went off too hard at Nottingham and probably worth another chance with Marco Ghiani replacing usual apprentice.
No Knee Never (IRE)
Notched his second course success of the year with a smooth-travelling performance over C&D last month. Likely still in form having been keener than ideal when fifth in at Southwell last time. Ought to give a good account.
Little Miss India (IRE)
Quirky sort. Successful twice here earlier in the year. Typically done plenty wrong on her most recent C&D starts and best treated with caution from 2 lb below her latest winning mark.
Reveur (IRE)
Fair 1¼m all-weather winner for Christopher Head in France. Best not judged on either start for present yard, going well when denied a run/not persevered with once held over C&D latest. Now 6 lb lower than his original British mark and isn't dismissed out of hand.
Celtic Chariot (IRE)
Wasn't held back by his quirks when landing back-to-back 1m turf handicaps in July. Now only 1 lb above that latest winning mark and looked back in form when sixth (poorly placed) over C&D last time. Still unexposed over this trip, too.
Albertini Star (IRE)
Low-mileage 3-y-o. Well backed when showing improved form to get off the mark at Sandown (1¼m) last time. Could still have more to offer at this sort of trip now up and running and notable that Oisin Murphy again takes the ride.
The Anthony Gover
Smooth traveller. Finished 1-length third when bidding for a C&D hat-trick last time. Went through the race like there could be further mileage in his mark and every chance he resumes winning ways from a better draw here.
Blue Mantle
Lightly-raced 3-y-o who went close in 7f Newcastle maiden in March. Easily his most encouraging run in a handicap when 2¼-length fourth at Beverley (8.5f) following a gelding operation last time. Bred to stay this far and stall 4 looks handy for one who typically goes forward.
Man Of Desert
Maiden who hasn't fired since finishing runner-up in similar company at Yarmouth in July. Mark has plummeted as a result and not ruled out if another change of headgear sparks some improvement.
