The race PALAMON won at Southwell last week rather fell apart but he could do no more than win very easily and he looks up to defying a penalty. There may well be more to come from Tapley for his new yard so he can offer most resistance.

May not be totally straightforward but suddenly right back to his best when an easy winner at Southwell 6 days ago, cruising clear. Will take plenty of stopping under a penalty if he's in the same mood.

Reliable chaser despite again promising more than he delivered when 5½-length fifth in the Summer Plate at Market Rasen in July. Didn't jump with same fluency back there 3 weeks ago but it was another creditable effort and slight drop in trip will help.

Third win of an already productive campaign in another small-field affair at Fontwell 16 days ago. Quite a bit went her way on that occasion so 8 lb rise could be enough to anchor her.
Jorebel (FR)
Had a superb time of things to end 2025, gaining fifth win in a 17f handicap here in December (off 1 lb lower). Ended the season in tame fashion but very capable fresh and he's in very good hands.
