IN THE BREEZE's second to a handicap blot in the Old Borough Cup at Haydock last month is a solid piece of form and he can prove too strong for August's Goodwood 1-2 Maxident and Moon Over Miami.

Won this in 2022 when it was a conditions event. In good nick under both codes when last seen in the spring and likely to be competitive if ready to roll after 5 months off.
In The Breeze (IRE)
Notched a second win of 2026 at Goodwood (2m) in June and posted another good effort when a clear second of 10 in handicap at Haydock (1¾m, soft) 6 weeks ago. Big shout nudged up 1 lb with this longer trip also a likely plus.
Tashkhan (IRE)
Really smart on the Flat in his prime but no win in this sphere since 2023. Was successful in a maiden hurdle last winter but has found it tougher back on the Flat of late, albeit this is easier than the Cesarewitch at Newmarket which he contested recently.
Moon Over Miami (FR)
Won over 2m at Newbury last spring. Mixed bag this season but recaptured pick of his 4-y-o form when 2¾ lengths second of 9 to Maxident over 2m at Goodwood 7 weeks ago. Considered from the same mark.
Senor Cortez (IRE)
Completed an AW hat-trick this summer. Another creditable effort when 5¼ lengths fourth of 9 to Maxident (Moon Over Miami second) at Goodwood (2m, good to soft) 7 weeks ago.
Maxident
Front runner who got back to winning ways at Goodwood (2m, good to soft) at the end of August, with reopposing pair Moon Over Miami and Senor Cortez behind in second and fourth respectively. A 4 lb rise shouldn't prevent a bold bid if in same form.
Call My Bluff (IRE)
Caused shock when winning over 2m at Newbury in April but hasn't recaptured that form in 4 runs since.
Marble Sands (FR)
Versatile between Flat and chase races in 2024/25, including a valuable handicap success at Cheltenham last November. Absent since a fall in the Grand National but returned from a similar lay-off to go close on the Flat at Goodwood last autumn.
Sure And Stedfast (IRE)
Suited by a truly-run race when recording a career-best success in a 6-runner handicap at Musselburgh (13f) in August. Good second of 9 at Redcar (1¾m, good to soft) 16 days ago but has stamina to prove over this far. Hood back on. 3 lb out of handicap.
