The thriving KING OF PERSIA is selected to make light of a 6 lb-penalty and complete a hat-trick. Ralph Beckett's last-time-out Ripon scorer Aphra Behn still looks fairly treated off a 4 lb rise and is feared most ahead of Gemma Tutty's Bella Lucia.

Fair maiden. Best effort since debut when 4 lengths fourth of 6 in nursery at Ripon (1m, good to firm) 3 weeks ago. Will need to build on that if he's to break his duck here.
Aphra Behn
Stepped up to 1m for the first time when off the mark in 1m Ripon nursery (good to firm) 23 days ago. Raised 4 lb but there could be more to come from her at this trip.
Orchard Hatches
Time Test filly who has been third over 1m at Salisbury and Bath on her last 2 outings but will need improvement to defy this opening handicap mark.

Modest form. Respectable sixth of 10 in nursery (50/1) at Southwell (1m) 16 days ago. Being eased another 3 lb can only help but it doesn't look enough.

Won his first 2 nurseries in July but the handicapper has been winning the argument and he looked less than straightforward when fourth at Beverley (8.5f) latest. The headgear he's worn on his last 5 starts is missing now.
Bella Lucia
Showed a bit in 3 maidens before improving to get off the mark upped to 7f on nursery debut at Musselburgh in August. Bettered that form when second of 9 at Beverley (7.3f, heavy) 23 days later. Likely to be on the premises again.
High Hazard
Now 0-8 but he did at least bounce back from some lesser efforts when fourth of 10 in Southwell nursery 16 days ago, looking suited by the step up to 1m.
King Of Persia
Has improved since stepped up to 1m, winning nurseries at Redcar (good to soft) and Leicester (good) in recent weeks. A 6-lb penalty shouldn't prevent him making a bold bid for the hat-trick.
Craven Force (IRE)
Limited impact in his 5 starts, including a nursery. Looks up against it again.
Diplomacy
First impact when third of 9 on 1m Redcar nursery debut (good to soft) 26 days ago. Needs to build on that now.
