Timeform View

Horses with experience have been favoured in recent renewals of this race. FLAMBE FLEUR and Wo Wo Never fit that bill, and it's the sole filly in the race who gets the nod, with her debut form working out very well. Aidan O'Brien's Paraguay is the sole runner with a Group 1 entry and needs a close look along with Paythebelievers. Acknowledge may do best of the newcomers.

Timeform Comments

Acknowledge (IRE)
Foaled February 28. New Bay colt. Brother to useful winner up to 1m Devil's Point, and half-brother to 7f/7.4f winner Rocket Science and 2-y-o 6.3f winner The Acropolis, both useful. Dam 2-y-o 5f winner. Makes plenty of appeal on paper and probably significant that Dylan Brown McMonagle rides.
Captaincormac (IRE)
Offered little at long odds on racecourse bow at Leopardstown on Saturday.
Colfer Hill (IRE)
Foaled March 24. Churchill gelding. Half-brother to several winners, including useful winner up to 6f Snow Cloud and 1m-1¼m winner New Kings Road. Dam lightly-raced half-sister to useful 2-y-o 7f winner Meadaaar. Probably one for the longer term, unless the market suggests otherwise.
Conclusive (IRE)
Foaled February 27. Wootton Bassett colt. Dam, 7f winner, half-sister to very smart winner up to 7f Garswood. Newcomer from powerful yard who saddle 3 runners here. Market likely to prove very informative.
Heart Of Fire (IRE)
Foaled February 5. Wootton Bassett colt. Dam, 9.4f winner who stayed 1½m (placed in listed company), sister to high-class 1m winner The Gurkha out of smart 2-y-o 7f winner Chintz. Has to be respected on racecourse bow, especially if supported.
King's Fury
160,000 gns Kingman colt. Runner-up in a barrier trial at Naas. Still looked badly in need of experience when down the field on Rules debut at Fairyhouse (6f). Now up significantly in trip. Likely to do better at some point, though jockey bookings suggest yard fancy others more.
My Antonio (IRE)
Again shaped as if better for the run when beaten 10 lengths over C&D on first run since leaving Kieran Patrick Cotter. Needs another run for a mark.
One Point Five (IRE)
Foaled April 22. €5,500 yearling, Arizona gelding. Half-brother to 3 winners, including 7f winner Royal Highness and 2-y-o 7f winner Lady Camelot. Dam 7f winner. Cheap purchase will probably have more realistic opportunities down the line.
Paraguay (USA)
Frankel colt who is bred to be useful. Very green/made late headway when 7 lengths sixth of 12 on debut at the Curragh (7f, soft). Open to improvement, especially given his pedigree/Group 1 entry.
Paythebelievers (IRE)
Starspangledbanner colt whose price appreciated at the sales. Showed a bit when beaten 12 lengths in a well above-average maiden on debut at Navan (1m, good to soft, 50/1). Entitled to do better with sights lowered here.
System Reset
Foaled April 22. 23,000 gns foal, 37,000 gns yearling, Cracksman colt. Half-brother to 2-y-o 1m winner Shock Action and 7f winner Finke River. Dam, winner up to 1¼m (2-y-o 9f winner). Rare juvenile newcomer for leading jumps yard. Market can guide.
Unstoppable Army (IRE)
Foaled January 28. €16,000 yearling, Invincible Army gelding. Half-brother to 10.4f/11.4f winner Shocker. Dam, 2-y-o 5f winner, half-sister to useful 2-y-o 5f winner Yulong Baobei. Most likely a longer-term prospect.
Wo Wo Never (IRE)
Showed plenty when third here (7f) on debut in June. Outclassed in listed company prior to solid 3½-length third in Curragh maiden (7f, soft) on return. Sets the standard of those with experience and still unexposed over 1m.
Flambe Fleur
130,000 gns Pinatubo filly. Won a barrier trial at Leopardstown in August. Fairly easy to back when 7½-length sixth of 17 on debut at Cork (7f, soft). That form looks strong (3 next-time-out winners) and likely to improve for this longer trip. Big chance if Colin Keane can navigate a wide draw.
