Timeform View

REAL PETITE won over this C&D in June and, though her form dipped in mid-summer, she has bounced back with 2 encouraging efforts here. She seems sure to go close off a career-low mark, with Kingcharles feared most back at 1m if belatedly building on his Navan run and Arizona Star a player if this becomes enough of a stamina test.

Timeform Comments

Medieval Night (IRE)
In-form maiden who again ran his race when sixth of 13, beaten 3¾ lengths, behind Starflow at Thurles last time, and should give another good account, though a 0-19 record makes him opposable for win purposes.
Miss Abby Jools (IRE)
On lengthy losing run. Made the frame 3 times last year, including when runner-up in maiden at Gowran last autumn. Returns from 311 days off with a bit to prove.
Spanish Princess (IRE)
Fair maiden who has largely struggled since being placed in a couple of extended 1m maidens last summer, including both outings this year.
Banshof (IRE)
Remains with one standout effort when eighth of 20 in a 6f Curragh maiden, though posted best effort since when 4¼ lengths sixth of 14 to Storm Eric at Dundalk last time. Drop back in trip shouldn't be an issue.
Sands Castle (IRE)
Got back on track when 3¼ lengths second of 14 to Rodeo Blues in handicap at Ballinrobe in June but disappointing on last 2 starts in this sphere and has something to prove now having also failed to make much impact over hurdles.
Esticky End (IRE)
Thoroughly unreliable, but he did win 2 handicap hurdles at Wexford during the summer and could outrun his odds if consenting to set off, though he clearly requires a major leap of faith.
Kings Gesture
Has cut little ice in 4 handicaps, beating only 9 of his 51 rivals, and needs to show considerably more before becoming of interest.
Strikepoint (IRE)
Lightly-raced sort who failed to improve for switch to handicaps when well held over 6f at the Curragh in August. Needs to take a big step forward now tackling 1m, a step up in trip that should suit on pedigree.
Kingcharles (FR)
Shaped quite well when eighth of 12 in handicap at Navan (1m) in August but has failed to build on that upped in trip on last 2 starts. Reverts to 1m here and has been given a chance by the handicapper. One to consider.
Real Petite (GER)
Won over C&D in June and not far off that level in defeat of late, posting a good fourth of 16 in handicap back over C&D last month. Must be considered from career-low mark if getting a run.
Cannonball Queen (IRE)
Low-grade handicapper who posted best effort this year when fourth of 17 to Launch Time at Leopardstown in August. Has shaped as if still in form both starts since, but more needed if she's to feature here. Cheekpieces back on.
Captain Ciano (IRE)
Yet to win but has run to a fair level a couple of times in handicaps. Out of sorts at present, though.
Simpson's Paradox (IRE)
Winless since 2023 and, though he was placed last time, he hardly shaped as if he's ready to capitalise on his much-reduced mark.
Kayamite (IRE)
Frustrating filly who turned in her best effort of the year when 4 lengths third of 14 to Zarenakarena at Roscommon last time.
Survivor's Code (IRE)
Hasn't kicked on since opening her account here (7f, soft) in April. Now 7 lb below her winning mark, however, and took a step back in the right direction 3¼ lengths fifth of 13 to Starflow at Thurles 11 days ago.
Arizona Star (IRE)
Maiden who went closer than ever before when ½-length second of 9 to Big Bill at Bellewstown last time despite seeming to find the test barely adequate. Would probably have appreciated more of a step up in trip than she faces here but capable of running well if stamina is at premium late on.
Tempted Angel (IRE)
Lightly-raced maiden who has beaten only a single rival since tackling handicaps on her last 2 starts. RESERVE.
Zephron
One-time fairly useful handicapper who has regressed markedly over the last 2 seasons and is impossible to fancy, even from a career-low mark. RESERVE.
Lady Crossing (IRE)
Appeared to take a step back in the right direction when fourth of 13 in handicap at Limerick (1m, heavy, 66/1) in June but has failed to build on that in 2 subsequent starts. RESERVE.
