Timeform View

LORD AUS produced comfortably his best effort yet when narrowly denied at Listowel last month and, with cheekpieces back on having won in them at Limerick in June, is fancied to go one better in a very competitive handicap. Love Orchid is feared most if settling better than last time with No More Hiding, Neo Smart and Saliba also dangerous.

Timeform Comments

Amplitude (IRE)
Signed off last year with a maiden win at this course (9.5f) and has made the frame in handicaps 4 times this season, most recently when fourth of 13 at Roscommon (10.5f, good to soft) back in late-June. Should be sharper for recent return from 12-week break.
Saliba (IRE)
Runner-up on 2 of his last 3 starts, resuming progress when 2¾ lengths second of 11 to Teoest in 10.5f maiden at Roscommon on latest. Shaped like this longer trip would be within reach last time and any further progress is likely to put him firmly in the mix on handicap debut.
Serienmond (GER)
Dual winner in Germany for Peter Schiergen in 2023 and has won twice over hurdles since for Gavin Cromwell. Has made positive start for current connections in that sphere and reverts to the Flat off a potentially lenient mark, with Billy Lee looking an eye-catching jockey booking.
Prophet's Path
Placed on his final 5 starts in 2024 for Owen Burrows and subsequently sold for 68,000 gns, but did too much too soon when making a belated debut for new connections in a Curragh handicap after 25 months off last time. Difficult to weigh up.
Satono Chevalier (IRE)
Won at Navan in March on his final start for Aidan Melia and has added 2 wins for his current yard since, at Ballinrobe and Limerick. Looks to have gone off the boil judged on his last few outings. NON RUNNER.
Vantage Code (IRE)
Well backed and much improved in a first-time hood when a wide-margin winner of 1¾m handicap at Galway in July. Has lost his way since, though. Hood back on.
Lady Plimsoll (IRE)
Consistent sort who has been placed 5 times this year, runner-up for the third consecutive start in 11-runner event at Clonmel (17f, good) in September. Below form switched to front-running tactics at Down Royal last time. Type to quickly bounce back.
Kimy (FR)
Fair runner-up in Tramore maiden over this trip in July. Arrives in good heart following a second on chasing debut at the same track earlier this month. Engaged 4.42 Leopardstown on Sunday.
Lord Aus (IRE)
Got off the mark in 16-runner handicap at Limerick (1½m) in June. Resumed progress when neck second of 8 to Count Bezukhov in extended 1¾m handicap at Listowel last time. Cheekpieces back on and step back in trip will be no inconvenience. High on the shortlist.
Palace Rock (IRE)
Placed 3 times at Dundalk in early-2024 but this dual-purpose performer was more miss than hit over fences later that season and hasn't been seen since pulling up at Naas in January 2025.
Victors Spirit (SAF)
Won at Southwell in April and placed twice from next 4 starts for Neil King. Hood removed on debut for new yard and market is likely to prove the best guide as to expectations.
Neo Smart (IRE)
Won at Dundalk in February and has been shaping up well in turf handicaps, again running well when second of 14 at Punchestown (9f, good) last month. Yard is in good form and caught the eye on sole previous try at this trip in August.
Shay's Dream (IRE)
Continued a theme of progression in handicaps when winning 12-runner extended 11f event at Killarney 3 weeks ago by a length from Wie Wunderbar. A 9 lb rise for that success makes life harder but he arrives unexposed and is one to take seriously if strong in the betting.
Love Orchid (IRE)
Placed on 3 of last 4 starts, though probably did a bit too much in front when ¾-length second of 12 to Pure Granite at Naas 8 days ago. Step back up in trip is no issue and likely to give another good account.
Mr Rango (IRE)
Losing run is mounting up and has been well held on all 3 outings since his promising second at Limerick in June.
No More Hiding
Progressive handicapper when winning 14-runner handicap at Down Royal in September. Form has been franked by next 2 home since, so 7 lb rise doesn't look overly excessive and she's entitled to be thereabouts if unearthing further improvement.
Mister Adam
Winner at Leopardstown in May. Last of 6 in minor event at Leopardstown (12.8f, good to soft, 3/1) in July. Bounce back required. RESERVE.
