Timeform View

GRAND CONQUEROR has a progressive profile and, having run well in a race that's proving strong form at Fakenham when last seen, is of major interest on his return to action from a 1 lb higher mark. Just A Glance and Motazzen head the opposition.

Timeform Comments

Tonaghneave Well (IRE)
Borderline useful hurdler but hasn't hit the same heights over fences, never going or jumping with much fluency at Galway on most recent outing. Reverts to the smaller obstacles now on first outing for new yard (previously with Gavin Cromwell).
Honky Tonk Highway (IRE)
Listed bumper/hurdle winner who showed improved form when narrowly denied in a valuable Windsor event on final outing in 2024/25. However, offered little both starts last season and probably best watched back from a 10-month absence unless the market vibes are strong.
Just A Glance
Created a good impression when making it 2-2 over hurdle with a zestful display at Chepstow in March. Progressed again when 6 lengths third in listed mares novice at Haydock (21f) on final start in March and further improvement can't be ruled out now handicapping.
Fouroneohfever (IRE)
Fairly useful Flat winner who opened his hurdles account with ease on handicap debut at Ludlow (2m) in March. Raced closer to the pace than ideal (also a bit too keen) when fourth of 12 at Perth on final outing and remains with potential, though isn't sure to be suited by the longer trip.
Grand Conqueror (IRE)
Won back-to-back small-field events last December. Went the right way in handicaps for his capable yard thereafter, finishing a length third at Fakenham in May (2½m). That form has worked out well and he's of strong interest returning from a 1 lb higher mark.
He's A Latchico (IRE)
Proved better than ever when registering a fourth hurdle success at Leicester (2m) last November and ran well to add to a good course record when third of 6 here (2¾m) on final outing. Tends to need his first run back, though.
Motazzen (IRE)
Registered a fifth course victory in clear-cut fashion in September. No match for one blessed with more speed back over C&D last time but should continue to run well for in-form stable.
