DARING PLAN escapes a penalty for his recent win at Newton Abbot and is the percentage call to complete the hat-trick under a rider who continues to look good value for his claim. Carrigmoorna Rowan and chasing debutant Walkinthepresent are feared most.

Timeform Comments

Saint Arion (IRE)
Improved when second on 2½m Warwick chase and handicap debut in first-time cheekpieces in September but made hard work of things and failed miserably to repeat it at Worcester last week. Blinkers now the choice of headgear.
Carrigmoorna Rowan (IRE)
Shaped as if retaining all his ability on first run since leaving Ryan Potter (after 6 months off) when creditable second of 5 in handicap chase at Huntingdon (3m, good to firm) 15 days ago. The third from that race has been successful since, so he must enter calculations.
Walkinthepresent (IRE)
Looked all about stamina when getting off the mark at Taunton in March. Couldn't follow up from Taunton from a 7 lb higher mark on final start but seemed unsuited by more of an emphasis on speed and could well resume his progress now switched to chasing after 6 months off.
Daring Plan (IRE)
Finally got off the mark under Rules in 10-runner handicap chase at Uttoxeter (3m) in June. Followed up at Newton Abbot 4 days ago and of obvious interest in hat-trick bid given he escapes a penalty for that success.
Uncle Al (IRE)
Prone to jumping errors but avoided mistakes when taking advantage of his reduced mark in 4-runner contest at Huntingdon (3m) in May and returned to a similar level when second of 5 at Sedgefield (3¼m) last month. Ran to a similar level when third at Hexham subsequently.
Pooroldmackley (IRE)
In good form over hurdles recently and reverts to chasing on a good mark with Adam Wedge taking over for the first time in a long while.
Hardy Buck (IRE)
Made the perfect start for Max Comley when capitalising on a much-reduced mark over hurdles at Exeter (23f) in December. Back on track reverted to chasing with the aid of a soft lead when second of 6 in 3¼m handicap at Newton Abbot in August but not quite in same form at Market Rasen since.
Elpologreg (FR)
Has an ordinary strike rate and, while he ran well from 5 lb out of the weights over C&D when last seen 17 months ago, his fitness has to be taken on trust and others appeal more for win purposes.
