Timeform View

The market will no doubt prove informative in this mares' novice with the majority making their hurdling debut. Preference is for LUNE BRILLANTE, who is the pick of these on bumper form and Harry Skelton has chosen her over Wet Sail. Second choice is Sapphos Word, who twice found only one too strong in bumpers last season, with Jenny France taken to fill out third.

Timeform Comments

Jenny France (IRE)
Walk In The Park mare who was bought for £120,000 after winning second start in Irish points in November 2024. Offered something to work on switched to a bumper when fourth of 12 at Uttoxeter (2m, soft) back in March and now makes hurdling debut. Probably needs further than this.
Luna Marquesa (FR)
Kapgarde mare who made some appeal on paper but was well held on debut in 5-runner bumper at Plumpton (2¼m, good to soft) back in March. Makes hurdling debut and looks stable second string on jockey bookings.
Lune Brillante (IRE)
Walk In The Park filly who looked a bright prospect when overcoming inexperience on Carlisle debut (soft) last November. Better than the result at Huntingdon the following month but proved disappointing after 3 months off at Sandown back in March. Of obvious interest on hurdling debut.
Sapphos Word (IRE)
Irish point scorer who shaped with plenty of promise when finishing runner-up in a couple of bumpers last season. First-time tongue tie goes on and she's an interesting hurdling newcomer.
Aeropress (IRE)
£40,000 4-y-o, Affinisea filly. Half-sister to fairly useful hurdler Double Pink. Unseated sole outing in Irish points (Feb 28). Worth a second look in the market.
Knowstone (IRE)
Well held in a couple of junior hurdles last season. Will need to leave those efforts well behind.
Maxiani (IRE)
Maxios filly who was only sixth of 7 in a point bumper and showed only greenness in novice hurdle at Warwick (2m, good) back in early-May. Looks an easy swerve.
Nuala Rocket
Vadamos filly who in rear when brought down under 5f out in bumper at Newton Abbot (17f, good) back in early-April. Likely outsider on hurdling debut.
Pearl Cove (IRE)
Old Persian filly who has shown little in 3 bumpers. Easy to look elsewhere on hurdling debut.
Wet Sail
Getaway filly. Dam (c67/h112), 21f hurdle winner (stayed 3¼m), half-sister to fairly useful hurdler/chaser (stayed 3m) Golden Sunrise. Makes plenty of appeal on paper but does look stable second string on jockey bookings.
