Kilwaughter (IRE)
Useful bumper winner. Second in Taunton maiden that worked out well before improving to go one better on handicap debut at Newbury (2½m) in February. Solid 5¼-length fourth at Haydock on first try at this trip subsequently. Still unexposed as a stayer and makes appeal back down in grade on return.
Shallow River (IRE)
Veteran hasn't stood much racing since winning on second start for Olly Murphy at Carlisle in 2024. More miss than hit since returning from a significant absence this year, only a respectable 4½-length fourth on stable debut at Hexham last time. Prospect of greater stamina test at least benefits.
Idefix De Ciergues (FR)
Tricky sort. Enhanced his Chepstow record with reappearance third there last year. Back to his best to win in first-time blinkers at Uttoxeter (3m, soft) in March prior to a laboured end-of-season effort (good to firm). Booking of Sean Bowen a positive, with usual cheekpieces also back on.
Saint Palais (FR)
Didn't go on over hurdles after unseating (when running creditably) on reappearance at Lingfield in November. Step back in right direction when beaten 3 lengths over fences here final start last season. Forecast rain in his favour as he bids to capitalise on 10 lb lower hurdle mark.
Libre De Choeur (FR)
Lightly-raced 6-y-o. Much improved/jumped well when off the mark in Class 4 C&D handicap in February (heavy). Didn't back that up behind Idefix De Ciergues at Uttoxeter (soft) the following month. Returns in even better company and another whose chances would be aided by significant rainfall.
Moonset (FR)
Progressive when landing a double on handicap bow at Newton Abbot (3¼m, heavy) in April 2025. Clearly hasn't been easiest to train since, not going with fluency on second start back from an absence at Wetherby in February. Bit to prove, even with Harry Cobden aboard for first time.
El Gavilan (FR)
Rejuvenated in cheekpieces when completing a hat-trick (all heavy) at this course (2½m) last February. Run of good form came to halt on final start for Clive Boultbee-Brooks here in April. Interesting tackling 3m for first time on first start for powerful new yard (purchased for £20,000).
One Eye On Vegas
Bumped into a subsequent winner on return last year before justifying support at Leicester (3-3 over 2½m there). Wasn't himself on third/final start of the season at Wincanton and returns with yard among the winners (8-24 since beginning of September). Relatively unexposed over staying trips, too.
