Timeform View

CHARLIE LUCIANO ran well when third in a stronger race at Fairyhouse 12 days ago and looks capable of adding to his sole chase win if reproducing that form, with Kings Jet the main threat if his jumping holds up after an unlucky fall last time. Ned In The Park is also respected from a good mark if building on his latest effort.

Timeform Comments

Charlie Luciano (IRE)
Back on track when winning extended 25f handicap at Kilbeggan in July and bounced back to form when 8 lengths third of 9 to Pourquoi Poi at Fairyhouse last time. Sure to be thereabouts if replicating either of those efforts.
Banjaxed
Fairly useful chaser who failed to hit the heights of the previous season in 2025/26. Has been given a chance by the handicapper but showed no sign of an imminent revival when well held at Gowran on return.
Kings Jet (IRE)
Surprise winner on Rules debut in maiden hunter at Down Royal. Back on song for fitting of cheekpieces this season, runner-up to Anodandawink at Kilbeggan and third at Killarney, both in August. Looked unlucky not to win at Listowel last month, still in front and going best when falling last.
Ceroc (IRE)
Moody sort who snapped a long losing run when winning 5-runner handicap at Wexford in July by 11 lengths from Dorans Law. Ran creditably from 6 lb higher mark when 6¾ lengths third of 7 to Rockonliam at same course last time.
Lambay Island (IRE)
Placed twice over hurdles at Thurles before ending last season tamely and making a discouraging return at Navan after 9 months off. Makes chasing debut in a handicap which suggests connections feel his mark is exploitable, but he comes with obvious risks attached.
Woodstream Lad (IRE)
Winning hurdler who jumped better than usual and was well suited by the way the race developed when making a winning return to chasing in 21f maiden at Killarney 18 days ago, beating Stede Bonnet by 5 lengths. Back in a handicap now off higher mark and his jumping remains a concern.
Ned In The Park (IRE)
Course-winning handicap hurdler who offered something to work on sent chasing when second in Wexford maiden in June. Has failed to build on that since but return to this venue should suit and he remains fairly treated if able to get back on track.
Duty Bound
Successful twice in handicap hurdles last summer but has struggled over fences of late. Hard to make a case for him unless the market was to speak firmly in his favour.
Gatsby Grey (FR)
Useful hurdler at his best but nowhere near that level over fences these days.
Palace Boy (GER)
One-time fairly useful hurdler who has shown very little since returning from a lengthy absence for current connections, including on chasing bow.
Prince Palace (FR)
Has gone the wrong way since winning as a novice at Navan and, while his 10-length second to Ballagh Star at Galway last time was one of his better recent efforts, he remains difficult to rely on and a risky betting proposition.
Grange Walk (IRE)
Veteran who has gone backwards since his fair third in a veterans event on reappearance in May and few signs of an imminent revival to be gleaned from his most recent starts.
