MOUNT SHENSHAN boasts excellent Clonmel form, including a handicap hurdle success here 3 weeks ago, and, racing off the same mark back over fences, she can follow up, with Wing Back feared most in first-time cheekpieces given he was a short-priced favourite last time and is clearly thought capable of better in this sphere, while Roccabaker and Shartheknowledge also appeal as potential improvers with just 3 chase starts between them.

A 3-time winning hurdler who has yet to open her account over fences but ran one of her better races when 12 lengths second of 8 to Iamagetaway in maiden at Downpatrick 13 days ago. First-time blinkers replace cheekpieces worn last time. Capable of being involved if backing that performance up.
Heroes Of Renown (IRE)
A 3m maiden hurdle winner lightly raced under Rules in recent times. Placed twice in points earlier this year but could finish no closer than 21 lengths third of 8 to Ballagh Star in handicap chase at Galway on return.
Wing Back (IRE)
Landed a gamble in a Downpatrick maiden hurdle last summer but has yet to match that in 4 chase starts, albeit poorly placed and left with plenty to do in handicaps the last twice. Short-priced favourite latest, so clearly thought capable of better over fences. First-time cheekpieces applied.
Sharetheknowledge (IRE)
Long-standing maiden who hasn't shaped too badly in handicap hurdles on last 2 starts, 10¾ lengths fifth of 15 to Private Policy at Clonmel on latest. Interesting now reverting to chasing.
Mister Loolah (IRE)
Winning pointer who didn't offer much in a couple of hunter chases last season or in a maiden chase on return.
Roccabaker (IRE)
Sole success came in handicap hurdle at Tramore (2¾m, heavy) on New Year's Day. Was never competitive in extended 17f handicap at Ballinrobe on chasing bow, but should appreciate this step back up in trip and there's nothing in her pedigree to suggest she shouldn't prove as effective in this sphere.

Wexford chase winner last season but has largely struggled since, including when bidding to follow up in same event there last time (well backed). Returns from 5-month break.
Mount Shenshan (IRE)
Ended a long losing run in 2½m mares handicap hurdle at this course 3 weeks ago, doing well to overcome the run of the race. Is of a similar class over fences, albeit 0-13, and goes off the same mark here. Entitled to be thereabouts.
King's Son (FR)
Modest chaser who was placed at Downpatrick in June but hasn't kicked on from that since, including when well held back over hurdles last time.
Zolpharine (IRE)
Belatedly off the mark over fences in handicap at Limerick (23f) in May before following up over hurdles at Tramore. Best effort of his chase 4 runs since when beaten 11 lengths at Sligo last month. Never better than mid-division at Killarney last time.
Without Exception (IRE)
Modest handicap hurdler, who was placed twice in 2025/26 but didn't see his races out on final 2 starts that season and previous efforts over fences don't exactly offer much encouragement.
Thirsty Work
Left previous efforts well behind when 12 lengths second of 16 to O'Grady Cracker in handicap hurdle at Kilbeggan in July. Was given a considerate introduction to chasing at Downpatrick last month. Needs to step up on that effort to feature here, though.
Gortmore Lady (IRE)
Turned in best effort this season when ¾-length second of 12 to Coventry in handicap hurdle at Perth last month but merely underlined her inconsistency in similar event at Cork last time. Pulled up on sole previous outing over fences.
Battle Of Benburb (IRE)
Fair handicap hurdler at one time but long-standing maiden in points and beaten a long way out on all 3 outings under Rules this year.
Stily (FR)
Maiden who placed off higher marks than this last season but hasn't fired this time around. Showed a bit more when fourth in a handicap hurdle at Cork last time and well treated if able to build on that back over fences.
Finnicky Filly (IRE)
Won during the winter and was placed in the spring, but her form has tailed off of late and is hard to recommend as a result.
Onefortheditch (IRE)
Consistent mare who got back to winning ways in handicap hurdle at Limerick in 2025/26 and held form afterwards. Shaped better than the bare result when 10¾ lengths fifth of 10 to Springboard in handicap chase at Galway last time, every chance when landing awkwardly 2 out. RESERVE.
Laska Du Breuil (FR)
Much improved to land handicap hurdle at Limerick (2¾m, soft) in May. Matched that form when 14¼ lengths fifth of 12 to Rattledelatch in maiden chase at Tramore last time. RESERVE.
Synchronize (IRE)
Little impact in handicap hurdles this season. Makes chasing debut.
