Timeform View

THE FLYING RAMBLER shaped encouragingly in a maiden last time and, with improvement expected now handicapping, looks worth chancing in an ordinary contest. Atlantic Wonder rates the main danger if seeing out this slightly longer trip with High Honour respected given his past course form and some help from the handicapper.

Timeform Comments

Lilac Lady (IRE)
Front runner who responded well to a tongue strap when finally off the mark at this course in July. Below form both stats since, though. Return to this venue should suit but is at her best when able to dominate.
Oh So Charming
Got the good gallop he requires and ended a long losing run returned to a claimer in 8-runner event at this course 2¼m, good) in August. Looked likely to be placed when falling heavily 2 out in similar event at Bellewstown last time
The Flying Rambler (IRE)
Shaped encouragingly when fourth of 13 to Telegram Sam in maiden hurdle at Roscommon last month. Open to further progress now handicapping and, while he'll ultimately be suited by stiffer tests, he's one to consider for a yard boasting a 20% strike rate with handicap debutants in the last 5 years.
Bowgate Street (IRE)
Belatedly opened account at Sligo in May. Creditable efforts when placed 4 times since, including when 7½ lengths third of 11 to Inthenickoftime at Galway on latest
Letters To Juliet (IRE)
Won a 5-runner handicap hurdle at Bellewstown in April 2025. Into her shell to end last year and went with no encouragement on return.
Andyourbirdcansing (IRE)
Inconsistent performer who took advantage of reduced mark when landing course handicap hurdle in July. Bounced back to form when winning 21f handicap chase here last month. Reverts to hurdling again and capable of being involved if in same form, though lack of consistency remains an issue.
High Honour
Won at this course in 2024/25 but lightly raced in recent seasons. Shaped as if retaining ability on return and has been given a chance by the handicapper.
Hometomayo (IRE)
Showed first form when 24¼ lengths sixth of 20 to Direct Approach in maiden hurdle at Galway 17 days ago. Makes handicap debut for new connections.
Grennanstown Lady (IRE)
Has yet to offer much over on Flat/over hurdles, but was in the process of showing more than previously (keeping on) when brought down 2 out at Roscommon last month. This can reveal more.
Finnians Row (IRE)
Rejuvenated by the application of blinkers and return to front-running tactics when winning 19.5f Downpatrick handicap chases in May/June. Tailed off both starts since, breaking blood vessel on latest. Reverts to hurdling from lower mark but comes with risks attached.
Plus Or Minus (IRE)
Unfancied in the market and no impact in a trio of maiden hurdles and on handicap bow last time
Atlantic Wonder (IRE)
Maiden who failed to fire last season following a lengthy absence (over fences first 2 starts). Hinted at a revival when 9¾ lengths fifth of 16 to Inver Bay in handicap hurdle at Roscommon on return. Well treated on best form but remains unproven beyond a slightly extended 2m.
Maxios Lady (IRE)
Showed her first form 15 lengths sixth of 14 to Ina Mina in handicap at Tramore last time. Wears first-time cheekpieces.
