Timeform View

Another fiendishly-competitive sprint in which it could pay to take a chance on GO VINCE GO, who has dropped to a career-low mark and Tim Easterby's 3-y-o promises to be suited by this return to 6f. Angel Gabriel took his form up a level when scoring at Windsor recently and having backed that up when third at Haydock since, he can provide most resistance. Almarada Prince and Lipsink round off the shortlist.

Timeform Comments

Intense Vision
Unbeaten in 2 starts in France last year but yet to really threaten for current yard in 2026, though fared better than of late when seventh of 18 in handicap at Ascot (6f, good to firm) 3 weeks ago. Drops in grade and respected if able to build on that.
Lipsink (IRE)
Notched his eleventh career success in pretty straightforward fashion in 12-runner event at Musselburgh (5f, good) just over 3 weeks ago, making all. Completed a hat-trick around this time last year and ought to go well again from 3 lb higher.
Angel Gabriel (IRE)
Low-mileage 3-y-o who found a chunk of improvement returned to ground softer than good when scoring at Windsor (6f) 4 weeks ago, making all. Similar form when third of 11 at Haydock (6f, soft) last month and fancied to be in the mix back down in grade.
Almarada Prince (IRE)
Well back and ended long losing run in 12-runner event at Pontefract (6f, good) earlier in the month, not having to step up by much, if at all, on this year's efforts. Nudged back up 2 lb and should remain competitive.
French Affair (IRE)
Came good for new yard in 26-runner event at Glorious Goodwood and improved again to follow up at Redcar 10 days later (both 6f, good to firm). Shaped well when fifth in Bronze Cup and gave another good account in cheekpieces when third of 9 at Kempton recently. Engaged 8.30 Southwell Thursday.
Archduke Ferdinand (IRE)
Won at Redcar in July and ran well when second at Newmarket the following month. Not so good the last twice though, having a job on attempting to dominate a big field over C&D (good to firm) just under 6 weeks ago.
Kodiac Thriller (IRE)
Twice a winner this year, latterly at York in July. Struggling for form at present though so best to look elsewhere.
Never Just A Dream (IRE)
Four-time all-weather winner for Ismail Mohammed who made quite a lot more of an impact than previously this season when third of 14 at Haydock (6f, heavy) 7 weeks ago. Has a career-low mark at present so folly to ignore if taking another step forward.
Jellystone Park
Made it third time lucky in good style from the front at Leicester (6f) in June, racing more efficiently in first-time hood. Well held switched to a handicap after 4 months off at Salisbury recently but it's far too soon to be writing him off. First-time tongue tie applied.
Oriental Prince
Hit-and-miss sprinter. Well positioned when landing a second turf win in a big-field York handicap early last month and encouragingly backed that up under a penalty when fourth of 20 at Ayr (5f, soft) just over 5 weeks ago. Shouldn't be underestimated.
Mythical Phoenix (IRE)
On long losing run and continues to fall in the weights without showing any real sign of taking advantage. Back sprinting but tough to enthuse over.
Go Vince Go (IRE)
A 3-time winner at 2 yrs who has made the frame on several occasions this season. Easy to excuse last month's Pontefract effort (posted wide throughout from outside stall) but ran poorly over 5f at York since. Return to this trip will suit and could be worth chancing from a much-reduced mark.
Wobwobwob (IRE)
Winless since 2024 and has largely struggled for form this season. Stopped the slide to an extent when fifth of 10 at Ayr (7f, heavy) last month but wouldn't be sure to build on that here.
