HAUTELUCE is thriving on all-weather and can make it 4 wins in a row on this surface against several older rivals. Arcadian Nights is the oldest runner in the field but lurks 2 lb below his last winning mark and has Billy Loughnane back aboard, while Canvas is interesting back on all-weather.

Timeform Comments

Warrior Mode
Won at Kempton on all-weather in August but has disappointed in 2 runs since. Has a course win to his name but needs to bounce back with first-time blinkers applied.
Arcadian Nights
Best turf effort in 3 years when third of 10 at Bath 24 days ago and is a much more interesting proposition on all-weather so needs considering from 2 lb below his last winning mark which came over this C&D.
Canvas
Won decisively over C&D earlier this month and was better than the result when sixth of 20 in a handicap over 1m at York under a penalty 13 days ago. Another 2 lb higher here so more required but he's unexposed on all-weather and needs viewing positively.
Tiger (FR)
Won at Chester and went close under a penalty at Ayr in August but has proved to be a disappointment both starts since. Now returns to all-weather with a little to prove.
Rastnet (IRE)
Won novice over C&D last December and is yet to run a bad race in handicaps on all-weather but her recent sixth of 10 in a handicap at Kempton 23 days ago does need some building on here.
First Ambition
Won first 2 starts, both on all-weather, in early-2025 but he's without a win in 11 starts since and finished only third of 5 in a seller over 1m at Newcastle 7 days ago when taking strong hold. First-time cheekpieces now reached for.
Vincenzo Peruggia (IRE)
Failed to kick on from useful effort on reappearance in April until scoring at Yarmouth earlier this month when clearly suited by the step up to this sort of trip and first-time cheekpieces. Could have more to offer at this distance returned to all-weather.
Epictetus (IRE)
Hard to win with and, though he finally ended long losing run in handicap at Sandown in August, his last couple of outings haven't been encouraging, finishing well beaten in a seller at Chester on latest outing.
Cristo
In good form on turf during July when scoring at Sandown and then second at Windsor 10 days later. Showed signs of temperament when well beaten on recent return from 10 weeks off, though, and now steps back up in trip.
Echalar (IRE)
Holding form well since scoring at Doncaster in August and shaped as if still in good form when third of 5 at Epsom 26 days ago. Won here over 7f earlier in the year and not without hope if coping with stall 12.
Aravalli (IRE)
Made hay in middle-distance handicaps during summer before flopping at Windsor in September. Stood little chance in listed race at Bath last time but has a bit to prove now down in trip and switched to all-weather for the first time.
Hauteluce (FR)
Most progressive runner in the field and has won her last 3 outings on all-weather, with the latest coming over C&D 18 days ago. Now 7 lb higher but looks to still have an excellent chance up against some more exposed rivals.
What's The Plan
Yet to win a handicap but looked unlucky when second of 7 at Sandown over 1¼m in August and likely didn't see out the trip upped to 1½m at Thirsk last time. Won his maiden on all-weather last year and can go well back down in trip with hood reapplied here.
