Timeform View

Anthony Honeyball took this race last year and he can repeat the feat with CATCHINTSAVO, who excelled himself when finishing runner-up in Grade 1 company at the Aintree festival and is every inch a chaser. Butch Cassidy has found his feet in this discipline and arriving on a hat-trick, he can provide most resistance. Derryhassen Paddy looked far from a natural on his chasing bow 11 months ago, but he's entitled to do better.

Timeform Comments

Butch Cassidy (IRE)
Bumper and maiden hurdle winner who having gone 0-4 over fences during the main body of 2025/26, made it back-to-back useful wins at Killarney (23f, good to soft) 4 months apart when last seen 9 weeks ago. Can continue his upward trajectory on his first British start.
Follow Your Luck (IRE)
Winning Irish pointer whose jumping looked an asset when scoring on both his starts over hurdles at Sedgefield in February. Fortunate to make it 3 wins from 4 starts under Rules when beating sole-rival Dunkerque at Perth (2½m, good) early last month but much more needed to be competitive here.
Catchintsavo (IRE)
Placed in all 3 bumpers and has translated that ability to hurdles, winning Ludlow maiden and Plumpton novice earlier in the year. Excelled himself up markedly in grade when second of 12 in Sefton Novices' Hurdle at Aintree (25f, good to soft) back in the spring and he's every inch a chaser.
Derryhassen Paddy (IRE)
Won Irish point/bumper and made positive start over hurdles in 2024/25, scoring at Uttoxeter and Windsor before good third of 20 in Albert Bartlett. Looked far from a natural on chasing debut last November and while clearly having issues to have been off since, there's surely better to come.
Kasino Des Mottes (FR)
£130,000 Irish point recruit who opened his account at the second time of asking over hurdles in a 21f Kempton novice last November. Well held switched to a handicap at Uttoxeter when last seen back in March but he's bred for this game, and his yard firing on all cylinders.
Turndlightsdownlow (IRE)
Won back-to-back 21f handicap hurdles at Kempton last autumn and continued to progress when second all 3 starts at up to 3m thereafter. Made an equally promising start to his chasing career after 6 months off when second of 4 at Worcester (23f, good to soft) recently but more required here.
