Timeform View

The forecast rain will be welcome for KALDOUN DES ROCS who's the clear pick of those with hurdling experience. Bumper winners Moore Brion and Running Happy are a pair to note now going hurdling.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Kaldoun Des Rocs traded at a low of 7.00 and Betfair SP of 13.56 when losing last time, a race in which it raced towards the rear: Moore Brion traded at a high of 3.00 and Betfair SP of 3.03 when winning last time, a race in which it raced in mid-field.

Timeform Comments

Mags Ocean
Shaped well when third in Uttoxeter bumper this time last year. That race didn't work out and he was too free when pulled up on hurdling debut at Worcester on return earlier in the month. Hood now goes on and market may be best guide as one of the Skelton quartet.
Moore Brion (FR)
Made a good impression when winning both starts in bumpers last season at Market Rasen and Uttoxeter. A good sort physically, he appeals as the type to make a promising novice hurdler.
Action Replay (IRE)
Behind when falling in an Irish point in February and has shown little under Rules in 3 maiden hurdles at Worcester. Probably one for later on.
Equi Libre (FR)
Free-going sort who was placed on second of 2 starts in bumpers for Tom Weston. Has since reverted to looking a handful on both starts for this top yard, pulled up without jumping an obstacle on hurdling debut and ran out on latest outing. Can only be watched at present.
Kaldoun Des Rocs (FR)
Shaped with considerable promise when third in juvenile at Sandown on yard debut last December in a race that worked out well but failed to land a telling blow in a higher grade when last seen later that month. He's had a breathing operation since and sets the standard in this field.
Military Cross (IRE)
Placed all 7 starts on the Flat for the Gosdens and has found only one too good on first 2 starts over hurdles. This is a deeper race but this half-brother to Wicklow Brave holds each-way claims.
Mio Amico
A dual winner on the all-weather on the Flat. Finished well held hurdling debut over C&D 8 days ago. Has yet to prove his effectiveness on turf.
Running Happy
Twice-raced in bumpers, showing encouraging speed considering his pedigree when winning at Huntingdon on debut in April. Built on that when improved second at Haydock the following month. Off since but one to note in the betting on hurdling debut.
Silver Salver (FR)
Nirvana Du Berlais gelding who was runner-up sole start in points. 11/1, eighth of 14 in bumper at Aintree (17f, good) on Rules debut back in May. Has since left Francesca Poste for £8,000 and is fitted with a hood. Market best guide now switched to hurdles.
Skibidirizz (IRE)
Workforce gelding. Shaped as if needing more time when tailed-off last of 6 in novice hurdle (5/1) at Chepstow (2m, soft) on debut 2 weeks ago. Represents top connections but can only be watched.
Lady Bam (IRE)
Irish point winner who made an encouraging start to her career under Rules when third of 8 in a heavy-ground bumper at Hexham back in March. Looked to have an eye on the future when eighth of 10 in novice on hurdles bow at Chepstow (2m, good to soft) 16 days ago.
